Sophie Lillie is looking forward to spending the holidays in Hawaii with her family on their annual Christmas cruise. It won’t be the same this year, however, without her mother. Maggie’s death has drawn the family closer together, but when Sophie’s father shows up with his new fiancée, their fragile reunion is torn apart. Sophie turns to an unlikely stranger for comfort, a man who is dealing with a betrayal of his own.

Sam Alexander’s plan to turn a boring company cruise into a romantic getaway with a female coworker falls apart when she dumps him at the last minute for someone else. To make matters worse, his ex-girlfriend’s new flame is Sam’s workplace rival. He’s stuck on a ship sailing to Hawaii with a bad attitude and nothing to do. That is, until he meets Sophie, a woman who melts his heart and gives him a reason to celebrate the season.

Decent story, poor narration

Simple, feel good story, nice setting. Think Hallmark Christmas movie storyline. The narration was awful. Good, clear enunciation…poor inflection and cadence. Also poor pronunciation of Hawaiian words/towns.
