Publisher's summary

Lizzie Randall, the preacher's daughter, is murdered. The men of the west Texas town are set on lynching Paco Morales, a Mexican teenager who happened to be in the vicinity at the time. No proof, but, after all, he is only a Mexican. Reason and/or conscience work on most of the would-be lynchers, so that, in the end justice is served. The list of suspects grows to include almost everyone in the story, thus providing an agreeable tangle of clues.

Review of "A Time for Hanging "

Before I read this book, I thought it was just a story about the old west and not a genre I usually read. However it's a murder mystery and something I love to read.

I believe that I enjoyed this book so much because of the narrator. His accents were perfect and I could readily picture this small town and the characters. I don't think if I had read this book that my images would have been so vivid.

The ending was quite a surprise.

Good Story!

This was a good audiobook about an innocent teen age Mexican boy, that the town folk accused of murdering a young girl because someone had seen him in the vicinity where the girls body was found, he was accused purely because of his race, I don't want to spoil the story, but it's a good story with good narration....I received this audiobook for free and I am giving my review voluntarily.
