The perfect book on God

I am so richly blessed by this book, I cannot express the gratitude I have for finding it! If I could recommend one book outside of God’s Holy Word, it would definitely be this one! Of the thousands of books I have read this one takes them all hands down! Please read, or listen to it, best choice you will ever make if you want to know Jesus, who He is, and what He means when He says “I have loved you with an everlasting love.”

Incredible

The most insightful examination of a piece of scripture that I have come across. So encouraging and helpful to learn and almost look inside the mind of King David as he wrote the 23rd Psalm!

Incredible book!!!

Awesome to hear Psalm 23 broken down almost word by word and how we all as sheep depend on the shepherd. The narrator did a fantastic job and he has a great voice for reading books. Highly recommend this book.

Captures your attention, difficult to press pause

Phillip Keller demonstrates the heart of a true shepherd of Christ towards His flock... very inspiring as a true to life example.
The narrator was perfect! Definitely gave a subtle 'feel' of a rancher without being overdone.

Scrapped this book because...

In Chapter 2, “I shall not be in want, the author describes owning a ewe that he thought was discontent and would always look for a hole in the fence to crawl through. He also describes “getting out the killing knife” and butchering the ewe because the lamb was influencing others in the flock to do the same. If the auther is relating this experience to Jesus as the Good Shepherd, and I believe he is, this is not the Jesus I know. God does not “take out” those believers who don’t measure up to the standards ot the rest of the flock. This is a terrible example of I shall not want.
