Yelled at my phone when the book ended

I didn’t realize this wasn’t just the 4th book in the Nix series, it is also the start of a new trilogy. I enjoyed this as much as Shannon’s other books. Fun heroine and really interesting world. I desperately need the next book.

Book 5 better be here soon!

As a big fan of Shannon Mayer’s works, I make it a point to auto buy basically every series she writes. The Nix series was a bit of a sleeper and yet it has stuck with me for a long time. When I heard she came out with a 4th installment, I dropped everything to listen and was not disappointed.

Yes, there are moments, as in her other series where she repeats certain hooks or replays bits of back history which, if you’re reading the books in order like a normal person, you really don’t need and they come off as a little fluffy. That said, being reunited with Dina and catching up after the shocking cliffhanger of book 3, everything else was surprises and intrigue galore.

Kristina Hvam is Nix - her reading style took some getting used to in the beginning but now I adore it. She creates voices that match the characters and the pace and inflections keep the story moving. I literally sat in my driveway just to finish tonight.

A definite must listen - but only if you have read the first 3. Order is everything in this series.

Disappointed

Feels like the same formula. Looking for her son, big bad in control, men betraying her, can’t trust anyone...
Also feels like I missed a few books. I don’t know if I’ll get the next book when it comes out.

Savage Story

I am so excited to be back in Nix’s world. This book started off with a bang from the beginning and did not disappoint. There were so many twists and turns that I couldn’t stop! I loved the new characters that were put in to play and can’t wait to see what happens next.

Disappointing short

I love the series however when ithe book finally starts to pick up it's over! so frustrating! Then it takes forever for the next book to come out. I can't stand cliff hangers !

Characters

I love it! However, I think the narrator got Easter and Dina's voice mixed up compared to the other 3 books

A complete enjoyment

I absolutely love the series, though not sure if the next book is out yet since the forth book is linked with the other three on audible.

Anyways I enjoyed every minute of the series and can't wait for more

Awesome love this kick ass lady and the sometimes the funny way you tell this story! The talking to her audience that Nix sometimes does draws us into the story, making us a part of it more! Way to go Shannon I can't wait for the next one! Come on October and A KILLING Curse, Happy Birthday to Me!!

Savage!

Oh Shannon you’ve definitely put a spell on me! What a teaser for the future of Nix and her family. As usual this story did not disappoint with the action and quick pace, and I DO MEAN quick pace! That was not very nice Shannon Mayer! But ohh so worth it!

Entertaining

I absolutely love this series! Nix is back and there is hell to pay! She’s still hard as nails and fiercely protective of her loved ones. She’s gathered some unusual help, but can she truly trust any of them? Looking forward to book 5!!

This book was everything and more than I expected Shannon has really excelled herself this time.
Nix and other abnormal started vanishing and she finds herself in an unknown facility where there tell her she’s not who she thinks she is . However the Nix we know and love isn’t that easy to break especially when her Son is out there without her so nothing and no one will stop her getting to him.
The book ends on a cliffhanger but at least we know we have more Nix to come and I can’t wait to see what Shannon has in store for us in that book 🙂
