worth reading

I really enjoyed the book thought it was better than actually reading it myself. I felt I was watching a movie and it was great. Leslie Parkin did a great job. This is worth listening to!

Love this book with all my heart

Once again Jenny Frame has captured my heart with a story full of love and wonder. It really felt like a fairy tale and the modern/futuristic setting surprised me in a pleasant way. The whole inteli-flesh thing was neat, some might say it's a bit contrived, just as an excuse for George to be able to feel while having sex with Bea, but I think it was perfectly explained and presented, even mentioning it's more traditional uses.

The voice by Lesley Parkin left a little to desire, but she shined in the right moments giving a perfect emotional tone to some scenes, even if she sounded a bit monotone other times. By far her best performances were Julian and Queen Adriana, perfectly capturing his snobbish and condescending tone and her wise and tought personality. George sounded the same most of the time, not much emotion in her voice, but I attribute that more to her own personality.

Overall this is a fantastic book that I would recommend to anyone looking for a modern fairy tale about a Queen falling in love with an ordinary girl, about how they met and how in the end they lived happily ever after.

i have always loved the royal trope, but haven’t found a story that included a lesbian couple. this was great!!! classic story with realistic characters and story line.

Awesome.... first half

This one has potential--huge potential--to be a classic in the genre. The premise is old, but wonderfully done. The characters are immediately lovable, even the minor ones (although the voice of Georgie is all wrong--the rest of the narration is brilliant). All are fleshed out superbly. The details of royal life are charming and enlightening. I was completely wrapped in this story--right up until THAT point. You will know it when you get there. It just seemed out of character and thrown in for no reason at a point in the story that called for a different tack. I plodded past that, disappointed, but invested enough to see how it would all turn out. I thoroughly enjoyed the overall book, despite some clunky bits here and there, and I would recommend.

Once again , fantastic story

This is such a sweet love story, I loved every moment of it. It is engaging, sexy, funny, cute, every thing a fairytale should be.This is my second time reading this book. Jenny Frame did an amazing job with all her stories.. Now into her sequel Royal Rebel .

the narrator was too boring it put me to sleep she wasn't up be like the rest of the books that have narrators by this Arthur

Very nice fairy tale

This is my first book from this author and I have not read many fairy tales but this was such a nice story. I love both characters in this story along with the Royal background. Very well written and I have a new author I will read more from. The narrator was also good.
