Publisher's summary

What’s a future duke to do when the most unsuitable woman possible captures his heart?

Eden had tried to avoid even a hint of scandal her whole life.

Plowing headlong into the Marquis of Sterling and dropping eggs on his boots wasn’t the most foolish thing Eden Haverden had ever done. Imprudently agreeing to take the charming rogue home when his horse went lame wasn’t either. But reluctantly accepting Chester’s invitation to stay the night at his familial estate after she nearly drowned? Yes, that assuredly was a rash decision and invited utter ruin. So why doesn’t she listen to her common sense?

The DeCourcy sins have haunted Chester his entire life.

Determined to create a new legacy for the tainted duchy, Manchester’s every action and decision are governed by diligence and discipline. A man of reason and purpose, he should not be distracted by the wholly unsuitable Eden Haverden. Not only is she the illegitimate offspring of his father’s arch enemy, she’s also the sister of the man who’d killed his brother. Why then, can’t he resist the powerful connection between them?

Can Chester convince Eden to put aside their families’ feud and trust him with her heart and love?

For a captivating pause-resisting Regency Romance adventure that will keep you listening far past your bedtime. Buy the sixth book in the A Waltz with a Rogue series today!

Though this book is part of a series, it can easily be listened to as a stand-alone.

A Blue Rose

A Rose for a Rogue is a delightful addition to the Waltz With a Rogue series. Chester and Eden have great chemistry. They would both like to help the families make amends within and between the families. The old Duke and Eden’s brother are stubborn and mean, but possibly redeemable. The story flows along quickly with a good dose of action and drama, as well as a surprise or two, and a blue rose. I really enjoyed Stevie Zimmerman’s narration.

Outstanding

I read this book before I listened to the audible. But I have to say listening to Stevie Zimmerman narrate brought another dimension to this fabulous story!! It made me truly visualize the scenes even more and that is why I am becoming such a fan! Most of all, anything written by Collette Cameron is of course special and this tale of two people from different classes had me at the first few pages. Delightful narrative and a pluthera of characters and animals ( of yes, Collette has a gift for pets of all different kinds.. we have a wonderful squirell Acorn and dog, Mr Wiggles and more!)
The heart knows what the heart wants and these two did not have a chance from the first time they literally ran into each other! Put aside some time because once you start, you will want to hear it all the way through. Thank you Collette and Stevie!!

Engaging read

This story kept me engaged from the start. Eden and Chester made for a great pair. I loved listening to their adventures and those of the feeding families. This story had a little bit of drama mixed in that made me wonder what would happen next. I really enjoyed the whole story and had a hard time stopping. I would definitely recommend it!

A Sweet Remance

The bastard daughter of a bitter enemy meets the Marquise (heir of a Duke) by running smack dab into him when rushing into the local bar to deliver herbs and eggs. While the novel is short, it has everything I want in a romance. Unexpected meeting, immediate interest in one another, constant aversion by noble peers and relatives, and unexpected roadblocks against their match. Of course there is a female noble ready in the wings to snatch the heir to the dukedom, with his father's blessing and determination that it is the correct match for his heir. Collette hasgiven us another one of her sweet, intriguing romances, with a bit of suspense to pique our interest.

Loved it!

Collette just gets better with her talented mind to spin another story. Stevie’s narration of it is a perfect match of Collette gift. Chester has come home when he finds out his father, the Duke, is ill. His horse had picked up a stone and couldn’t be ridden to his father’s estate. Eden offers him a ride in her cart. There had been bad blood between their family. When they ride across a broken down bridge, the cart gets stuck and Eden falls into the water. Chester rescues her and takes her to his home. Then things get twisted up. Don’t miss this one.
