The letters continue, and Marley enlists the help of local farmer Dirk Mason, former military police.

Dirk has a job to do, and that’s it. He’d be the reporter's bodyguard but would not allow himself to fall for the seemingly helpless woman. Marley is anything but helpless. A fact proven as the danger escalates.
