Rachael will do anything to protect her bakery from the evil Bakermatic Baked Goods Company, but does that include murder? When a food critic dies after sampling a pie from Rachael's bakery, she is quickly labeled the prime suspect. When the police doubt her story of innocence, she has no choice but to find the real killer. With carefree best friend, Pippa, Rachael sets out on a mission to save her bakery, but it could ultimately cost her and her best friend everything.

it was for a younger audience. Narrator over enunciated. The book was a little simple.

A little too cheesy

This cozy mystery was enjoyable. I thought for sure I’d figured out the killer right off the bat...not! Good twists & turns to keep you guessing. A sweet budding romance good too.

You’ll pick the wrong killer

I enjoyed this pleasantly intriguing mystery. It's neither a thriller or a "page turner" but is nicely narrated and a pleasant "read". Now the author should have the bakery detective move her Bakery to "221B Bakery St.".

Truly a "Cozy" mystery.
