Story
For Sam Lovell, organising the summer festival in her hometown is one of the highlights of her year. It’s not always smooth sailing, but she loves to see Porthmellow’s harbour packed with happy visitors and being on the committee has provided a much-needed distraction from the drama in her family life (and the distinct lack of it in her love life). When their star guest pulls out with only a few weeks to go, everyone’s delighted when a London chef who grew up locally steps in at the last minute.

And when Jenny is welcomed into a rather unusual book club, life seems to finally be getting more interesting. narrator not good
So sorry to be negative. I have loaded this onto Kindle now so that I can read it and the story is excellent. But the narration is absolutely awful. It might be better if it were read by someone with a Cornish accent. Because the attempts at Cornish accent are embarrassing ( No Im not Cornish). after about an hour I just couldn't stand any more. A real shame because I think it must put others off too.

Wonderful escape
Another wonderful story from Phillipa Ashley, the third in this series. The beautiful setting of Porthmellow is the backdrop to romance and love. The story includes the well loved characters from the previous books, I love that Troy calls ladies ‘maid’. I really enjoyed a few hours of escape to Cornwall. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Lovely book to escape to a Cornish town and village life...
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I really love the way Laura Kirman narrates the stories she reads, and she has an easy to listen to voice, unlike some narrators. The book flows well and gives realistic glimpses into small town/ village life (living in a small fishing town in Devon, I can totally understand!) whilst creating an easy to listen to escape. Will be starting the next one ASAP! 😀
