Publisher's Summary

The book would be most useful to students looking to start and finish their thesis or dissertation. Advisors may recommend this book for their students at the early stage of their research project or if they struggle at any stage. The book addresses the big picture of the research journey, and provides advice on how to manage the entire process. I have seen the best students get stuck. All they needed to triumph was a piece of advice. I decided to write this book maybe to solve this problem for future students. Many small tips will be mind-blowing. A few tips will be eye opening to scoring an outstanding thesis.

Great Motivation!

A great job of motivating & making this seemingly overwhelming journey of starting, writing, and defending a dissertation manageable AND doable! Instead of going fishing today, I’m excitedly getting to work!!

Nice advice but not great for me

This book contains many nice things to tell young students to try to get them on the right track, but the advice is not pragmatic (especially not for later stage students). The narrator speaks clearly.

Some good tips as promised....

but it did lose me at times with a rather fluffy style of examples. Decent value for money.

A useful book if needing help to write a thesis.

Would you consider the audio edition of A Novice Guide to How to Write a Thesis to be better than the print version?

No, but may be easier than having to keep finding your place in the book every time.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Not appropriate for this book,.

What does Allen Wayne Logue bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Nothing.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No. Wasn't meant to.

Any additional comments?

I'm not about to undertake this task but I imagine it would be a very useful book if I was.
