Publisher's Summary

One of the most outspoken voices gracing the cover of magazines today encourages women to be their most confident selves, recognize their personal beauty, and reach for their highest dreams in this wise, warm, and inspiring memoir.

Voluptuous beauty Ashley Graham has been modeling professionally since the age of 13. Discovered at a shopping mall in Nebraska, her stunning face and sexy curves have graced the covers of top magazines, including Cosmopolitan and British Vogue, and she was the first size 14 model to appear on the front of the wildly popular Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. The face of brands such as H&M Studio, she is also a judge for the latest season of America's Next Top Model. And that's only the beginning for this extraordinary talent.

Ashley is leading a new generation of women breaking ground and demolishing stereotypes, transforming our ideals about body image and what is fashionable and beautiful. A woman who proves that when it comes to beauty, size is just a number, she is the voice for the body positivity movement today and a role model for all women - no matter their individual body type, shape, or weight.

In this collection of insightful, provocative essays, Ashley shares her perspective on how ideas around body image are evolving - and how we still have work to do; the fun - and stress - of a career in the fashion world; her life before modeling; and her path to accepting her size without limiting her dreams - defying rigid industry standards and naysayers who told her it couldn't be done. As she talks about her successes and setbacks, Ashley offers support for every woman coming to terms with who she is - bolstering her self-confidence and motivating her to be her strongest, healthiest, and most beautiful self.

Must-listen!

I loved this audiobook so much. I could have sat down and listened to it in one sitting but I spaced it out and used it for a pick me up when my confidence or self-esteem was lacking. Each time, I felt like I was getting a pep talk from a close friend. Such an incredible book, a must-listen.

Not That Interesting

I think Ashley is amazing but this book is blah. I follow her on IG and have seen her in interviews. I think she's beautiful, love her personality and the spirit she evokes. I was ready to love this book too but didn't even like it. More autobiography than inspiration and her personal story is kind of boring. Also the writing is not cohesive. Still think she's great just not a great author.

I needed this..YOU NEED THIS!!!

WOW - Where was this book and Ashley when I was in my 20's?? I listened to this book over several days on the way to /from work. On day one I had to touch up my make up from the tears both from laughter and sadness. I could relate to about 90% of what she was saying in this book.

Every teen or 20 somthing, woman OR man, should read/listen to this book.

Amazing Story, horrible reading

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Listening to this book made me laugh, made me cry and made me think. However, that was all after adjusting to Ashley's voice started the book and then a "professional" took over. The "professional" did a good job of telling the story but it could have been a lot better.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the way she talks about her husband and personal life.

Would you be willing to try another one of Almarie Guerra and Ashley Graham ’s performances?

Not the reader. Ashley Graham, yes.

What else would you have wanted to know about Rebecca Paley and Ashley Graham ’s life?

I thought this was pretty in depth look into where she came from and how she rose.

Relatable

So many parts of this book were so relatable. I cried a few times too, when she spoke about her father. I enjoyed learning more about her. I really like her and this book gives you more insight into her life and personality.
