Editorial reviews

Dr. Bill Creasy of Logos Bible Study uses a literary, historical approach to examine and enliven the bible for modern listeners. Dr. Creasy draws on his studies, travels, and personal anecdotes to vividly depict the works of scripture. He speaks in a pleasant, friendly voice but with authority, frequently incorporating contemporary references. The programs are a lively combination of a sermon and college lecture.

In this episode, Dr. Creasy discusses A New Heaven and a New Earth (Revelation 20:1-22:21).

Publisher's summary

With the conflict of sin fully resolved and “the great and dreadful day of the Lord” a memory, our linear narrative doubles back on itself: Revelation 20-22 bring us back to a new beginning. In Revelation 21: 1-5 we read: “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.’

“He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Then he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.’”

In Revelation 20-22 we find ourselves in a new Garden of Eden and humanity begins anew, forever in the presence of God.

Awesome

I have studied the Bible & now this book of revelation with Dr. Creasy. He is an amazingly gifted scholar & teacher. The in depth explanations, questions which many of us surely have are all covered....and his sense of humor is so enjoyable as we move through the entire book. This has been and will continue to be my best experience in learning about my God, Who He is & why He has planned & is executing His way. Bravo, Lord....kudos to Dr. Creasy.
