Like many engineers, Veronica Margreve is an introvert, content to spend her evenings at home with her black cat Bitty. But when she bumps into an old friend and is invited to a house-warming party, she decides to go and socialize.
The party is going well, the house is gorgeous and the food is delicious. Veronica is mingling, meeting interesting people, and enjoying the views over Seattle. But the evening ends in tragedy as someone falls to his death -- and Veronica's friend is the main suspect! Plus, with an exotic car dealership, a tech start-up, and a collection of vintage automobiles, there is a lot at stake.
Veronica is used to finding and exposing computer hackers, but can she use her investigative skills in the physical world and find the killer?
