Publisher's summary

Isabella Astley, a true Victorian lady who was born into one of England’s finest noble houses, wants to control her own destiny. But with a mother who is willing to marry her off to the highest bidder, her future seems to be a life of misery.

On the night she defies her mother’s demands, she believes her life is finally her own; but that notion is soon shattered by a freak accident that catapults her to 21st century Philadelphia.

Now trapped in a strange new world filled with endless lights and horse-free carriages, she struggles to understand how or why she’s there and how she’ll ever return to 1881 London.

Incredibly, Liam, the handsome and compelling Army veteran who almost hit her with his car, may be the only one who can help her find answers about how she traveled through time and how everything seems to be connected to a mysterious woman called Emma Washington.

That is, if she can outwit a mysterious stranger who has followed her every move and make sense of her growing feelings for Liam - and what she’ll leave behind.

In an adventurous journey to untangle the truth, Isabella must face unknown threats lurking in the shadows, gain help from the unlikeliest of places, and discover what it means to trust—and love.

Good time travel book!

I love a good time travel. My only issue is how easily the women accept it and pretend it’s normal. Hahaha I’d be freaking out. Or too excited to hide it. I liked this book. Cute story for sure.

Absolutely love it!

I absolutely love this twist of two women trading places! Great job! Emma is believable and the characters around her. Her struggles and thoughts…that keep the time travel part believable.

I laughed so hard I cried

I absolutely love this novel. True , at first it's just a wonderful addition to follow up the other novel that is full of storyline, but at the Dinner table with the characters I absolutely laughed out loud so hard I was crying tears of joy. I actually rewound it to play again and again. Loved this novel! A must read!!! Narrator is exceptional. She gets the characters traits perfectly.

wonderful sweet story

the story was so engaging from the start to end. the narrator was excellent. I do wish to hear more about Henry and it would be cool if they can time travel back to visit the brother. just felt like there could be more.

Timeless

I normally read mystery, murder, and horror. With those kinds of books the most agitating thing is a clue missed by the detective the reader sees, or the house the family moves into is going bump in the night and the family is ignorant to the haunting. With that said, the one thing that frustrates me about this book is what he didn’t say or what she did t say and they each interpreted each others feelings instead of talking about it. That is why I normally don’t read romance novels. But I get in the mood for a good time travel book from time to time and set aside for the frustration of the characters in certain parts I absolutely loved this listen. The heroine of the novel was a bad ass damsel in distress. I really liked the characters and the way the time travel went down. My favorite character in the book was Dan. Such an amazing side character, down to earth yet tough skinned. Would I recommend this read? Absolutely! The author is a brilliant story teller.

An activist doing really bad scifi

This must be an abridged copy. It's not even scifi either it's just fantasy. There doesn't seem to be any explanations for what happens.

At least make it exciting, make us believe this is a woman from an earlier time period. The plot is a good one but this is a big fail.
