Story
When a family of former pro football players buys a small Texas town, they didn't intend to start a war with its residents...or to fall in love. Ever since his career-ending injury, Pat has bounced from job to job, idea to idea, short-lived relationship to short-lived relationship. Story
I knocked up my best friend's sister. Let's start with how she decided to inform me and Pacey the news...together. Imagine that nightmare. I was going into what I thought was a hockey marketing meeting, and then bam! I'm going to be a dad and my best friend/teammate is attempting to imprint my face with his fist. Threats were tossed around, friendships were revoked, and then I was marched up to her apartment, suitcases in hand, and forced to live with her so I could take care of her every need. Now I'm finding it harder and harder not to fall for my best friend's little sister.

Having worked for Southern Service Paws for a few years now, I like to think I’m prepared for just about any client meeting under the sun. I am dead wrong. The day I meet with single dad Jacob Broaden about potentially matching his daughter with one of our service dogs, I learn a few valuable lessons. 1) Always set my alarm clock. 2) Single dads are way hotter than I previously thought. 3) It is possible to go from fantasizing about kissing someone to wishing they would be run over by a truck in a matter of two minutes.

Story
He's a billionaire heir. A grump supreme. Hater of people. Bigger hater of peopling with people. And my new fake boyfriend. "Emotionally unavailable" doesn’t even begin to describe Hayes Rutherford. He has more defenses than a nuclear missile silo. And he’s the ultimate catch of the century. At least, according to his bank statement. My job’s simple: Keep all interested ladies away from the walled-off heir, by pretending to be his one true love. But you know what they say about fake-dating a billionaire: It’s all fun and games, until the scandals start.

Drew Marshall may have let me move into his spare bedroom while my house is being renovated, but don’t think for one second his kindness comes without strings - big, ugly fake-relationship strings. That’s okay, though, Dr. Andrew. I’ll agree to your terms, move into your house, and act like your girlfriend when the big day comes, but I also plan to make your life miserable - make you pay for what you did to me. I may not be good at forgiving or forgetting, but I’m excellent at getting even.

I, Charlotte Valentine, am mostly of sound mind. Typically, I make really good choices. I went to college, never did drugs...I even brush and floss every day. That’s not to say I don’t make poor decisions - believe me, I do. They always seem to involve men - everything from gluing my eye shut to falling in love with my boss. Did I mention he was famous? Oh, Drake Foster, you beautiful creature. My sister told me not to accept the position as his personal assistant. Apparently, she thinks it’s emotionally unhealthy for me to work for the object of my desire. What does she know?

I was hanging with the girls, celebrating my divorce, when I saw him - my crush, sitting in the corner of the bar, all alone. Being single and looking for a wild night, I asked him if he wanted to join me. To my delight, he said yes. On paper, it seemed like I had hit the jackpot. And if I wasn't fresh from a toxic marriage, I would have absolutely noticed the finer things about him. But, I wanted nothing to do with being married, so when I arrived back home from my eventful weekend in Vegas, the last thing I expected to see was a new doting husband already moved in.

I have found rock bottom: moving in with my older brother because I’m too broke to afford to live on my own. It’s okay though, because we’ve always been close and I think I’m going to have fun living with him again. That is, until I meet Cooper.... Turns out, my brother has very strong opinions on the idea of me dating his best friend - he’s dead set against it. According to him, Cooper is everything I should stay away from: flirtatious, adventurous, noncommittal, and freaking hot. (I added that last part because I feel like you need the whole picture.)

Love this Story
Such a cute, clean, sweet romance. I have read this story alot as it is a favorite, but got the audible book to enjoy as well. Logan and Tessa's story is sweet and the chemistry is great! There is humor and swoon worthy moments. It must read for anyone who struggles with some aspect of body shape or other imperfections. I love the series and hope more will be made into audible books.

MY TAKE
This is my second read of this book, this time by audiobook. Love it so much still. The Erin Wollin was great!
I've loved everything I've read by Pennington, and this book lived up to my expectations. With all the scary stuff going on in the world right now, I needed some hilarity to lift me up. A Man Worth Shaving For was the perfect Rx. Tess is a delight and Logan's a hunk as well as a great guy. I love that Tess, even when she was being confronted by a hateful employee who kept taking jabs at her, kept her cool. She's my hero.
A full five stars.

Great fun!
I love this story. I have read the book a couple of times but still enjoyed the audiobook. It is a fairly predictable story but very much enjoyable even for that. Tessa is a great female lead and I so loved her hard-won self-love. Great quick and easy listen! The rest of the series is available on Kindle Unlimited and I would recommend those all as well!

Tessa and Logan are really being themselves with each other when set up on a blind date because they do not think they will ever see each other again. Loved it. It is amazing what can happen when we let others see who we are. These two had so much chemistry even though she does not understand how he could be attracted to her. How they meet again is basically the story of the book and what an awesome story it is. This is one of the best books I have read and listened to this year!!! I loved it so much that I listened to this book even after I had read it.

An adorably-sweet, feel-good romance! I love the main characters... Tessa is completely relatable and made me giggle with her antics. Logan is a sweet, but take-charge love interest and I enjoyed watching them get entangled with each other. Plus, I really appreciated that Tessa was a curvy, confident heroine. This audio felt like a coffee date ;)
This book kept me up way past my bedtime the first time I read it, and this time, while listening to it, it pretty much did the same (had to force myself to press the "pause" button in order to get some sleep), so that should attest to how good this story truly is (full "Story" review below).
As for the narrator, I think she did a great job of bringing Tessa Young to life. Honestly, this whole audio felt like a coffee date where she's telling the reader how she got to meet Logan *le sigh* and how everything came to happen. Oh, and I loved Krista's voice! So on point and perfect for her character!
However, I also think there's still room for improvement with some nuances, whispers, and the like, as well as for equipment since it felt like there was a background "noise" (or static? I don't know how to describe it).
Still, the last bit notwithstanding, I think fans of the author, the Sweet Romance genre, or even this book, will love to get their hands on its audio version.~ 4.75 stars
(Story review): A Man Worth Shaving For was soooo good!!! I was hooked to the story since the author shared a sneak peek in her NL, and then after it published when I read the preview that Amazon shows of the book. So, after one-clicking it, I decided to start reading it near my bedtime. Two words: Big Mistake. This book is great at making you feel what Tessa's going through: you'll be pretty much swooning, laughing and even fanning yourself (I did at one point) with all the interactions between her and Logan 😍 just, be warned: If you value your sleep or are going to want to function properly the next day, don't start it so late, lol. Also, I think the other readers are right: this might as well be Ms. Pennington's best so far, and I can't wait for Krista's story *happy squeal*.
Content: it's clean/sweet as in there are only a few passionate kisses but nothing else happens. However, the h works at a lingerie shop and thus, there are innuendos/expressions, descriptions, and comments that go along that line of work (mentioned when talking with her coworkers as well as with the H). ~ 4.5 stars
