The saddest thing was when it was over because i wanted to keep listening 😂. Excellent book. The reader has a nice tone but is just insanely slow. I think if I listened to it as is then I would pull my hair out. But if you speed her up to about 1.5 then it’s perfect.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed the story. It helped pass the time. The narrator is not as good as some of the other ones that have done Jody Hedlund s books but she did a tolerable job. I would consider it worth the time and money.

This series has been captivating! it was always difficult to take a break when other things needed to be done.

Narrator speaks a bit slowly, great story

Absolutely love the story line. Narrator talks a bit too slowly. However if you speed it up to 1.2 or 1.5 then it’s much more of a normal cadence.

Great Heroine and Hero!

The narrator did a great job too. Totally engaging story and characters. Clean regency romance. I don’t usually give 5 stars all the way through the ratings but this one earned it. I think this is JH’s best book (of the few I’ve read). Highly recommend it.

Romantic adventure

Very fun read. Loved the characters. You have to listen to it at 1.5 speed or else it’s super slow.

I was a little wary of the knights and castles genre but this was such good fun! This is the first one I read from the series and I plan on reading the rest. The narration was perfect although way too slow. You should definitely listen at 1.2.

Just listened for the 4th time!!

Strong female without being overly disrespectful to the male love interest. (Which I appreciate) She has talents but still obviously the men are stronger than her which is realistic which I appreciate as well. The "woman power" theme doesn't go overboard. Fun, sweet, humorous and flirty. One of my favorites! Just listened for the fourth time in the past 2 years!

Good story. AWFUL narration

The story was good. The characters could have been developed a little better. I almost couldn’t make it through due to the narration. It sounded almost like forced wistfulness and very monotone and dull toned-Nothing expressive. Very hard to discern which character was talking many times.

Enjoyable Read

This was an enjoyable read. I loved all the excitement and intrigue and of course the love story. True to form Jody Hudlund has done it again. A hard to put down drawing romance.
