Don’t let the Cover Fool Ya! 🔥

The overall book was very good. I loved the content, development and the characters. If you are looking for something that is going to make you hot and bothered this is the book!

I almost didn’t get this book based on the cover, but after reading so many great reviews from my Facebook group, it became an instant buy that I don’t regret!

I loved the male narrator, his voice fit the male character’s vibe. I like the female narrator also, but this was not the book for her to narrator. Her reading style did not fit the tone of the female character to me. Don’t get me wrong she is a very good narrator,but not for this book.

The more I listen to different author’s interviews about their process and listen to more audio books I understand why certain narrators are or should be selected based on the characters.

Beyond the great story being told if the narration is off it’s hard to enjoy the story.

The question is would I recommend this book absolutely.

Decent Book

I ALWAYS enjoy listening to anything narrated by Jakobi Diem. I listened in spite of the negative reviews of the female narrator. It was so bad, I thought of requesting a refund throughout the book. Poor thing, she is hard to listen to, making the book hard to follow at times… as if I was on a roller coaster listening between the two. I am sure the story would have been better had she not read the female part and Jakobi read the entire book solo.

Must Listen!!

Excellent listen. Captivating. The characters are written from both points of view. The passion was dripping from “pages”. Jakobi narrating did not disappoint!!! Worth the credit. 🔥

Great story!

The author took what could have been a mobster story into a live story and it worked! It was intriguing and soft and wonderful!

Loved the story!!! I didn’t care for the female narrator. Her intonations made it difficult for me to listen at times. Came off very whiny and irritating!
