Publisher's summary

The second installment of the popular Lesson series—featuring therapist, professor, and reluctant sleuth David Unger.

When a musician client asks David to accompany him to the 1982 US Festival, death is the last thing on his mind. Angry groupies can be passionate, sure, but murder? Nah.

David’s optimism is swiftly rocked and rolled when exotic drugs and death appear as supporting acts and the festival mood shifts. Even the lovely Lilah can’t distract David from reality. His client needs help. He has to act.

Flexing his sleuthing muscles, David noodles around from one thing to another. Info is sketchy, and time is running out—the bass isn’t the only thing dropping as more bodies are found.

In a dangerous game that’s more dare than truth, David banks on his therapy skills outshining his musical abilities.

Will his sleuthing be off pitch or in harmony with the killer’s tune?

This rocks big time

So enjoyed listening to this. The narrator is first rate and brings the characters to life as he builds the tension while getting you to laugh and sing your way through the book. The author is a therapist and sprinkles self-help tips throughout that never take away from the story. I couldn’t figure out whodunit but once it was disclosed I could see how it all tied together. Totally enjoyed the cultural references to the time (80’s) and, of course, the songs. Great book.
