it was a good quick short story
The step into Austrian history was interesting however I found the villains to be kind of simple and not very smart. I enjoyed the tidbits of European war history but found the heroine a bit annoying whereas I think she was meant to seem strong in her willful ways. To me her thoughtless reactions just made her seem immature. The narrator did a good job with the accents i think but since im not a native Austrian i could be wrong, nevertheless accents seem to be on point. I was given a free copy of this title for an honest review.

A great performance and great story
The third book in the series, picks up a short while after book 2. Lacy and her daughter, August, are headed to Austria to visit Lacy’s grandfather. There is quite a bit of mystery surrounding the trip when the two arrive to find the grandfather dead. Lacy is the rightful heir to the estate, a fact that has more than a few people seeing red. Lacy and August are convinced the grandfather was murdered and they aim to get to the bottom of it. Of course, there is the handsome, if somewhat older inspector to aid August along the way, until he too falls under August’s suspicion. And what better way to get someone out of the way than to frame them, and that’s exactly what the true killer sets out to do. There is intrigue, romance, danger, and tons of action in this romantic suspense. The story is so captivating I couldn’t stop listening. I highly recommend this audio book. The narrator does a great job with her voices, and delivers a lively performance. I highly recommend this book to lovers of romantic suspense.

Good mystery
This is probably my favourite book so far. This was a book filled with danger, secrets, lies and surprises. The intrigue and suspense, not to mention the potential danger lurking kept me on the edge of my seat as I listened to this story.
The writing was descriptive and I found myself swept away to Austria as August Myer goes to meet her great grandfather Lenhard Luschin accompanied by her mother Lacy.
When he dies suspiciously, they suddenly finds themselves thrust into the middle of danger and murder. Tobias Wolf is the police inspected tasked with investigating her grandfathers death.
Suspecting there is more to Tobias’s involvement than he let’s on, feisty August and Lacy decide to investigate. As August and Tobias strive to put the pieces of the puzzle together danger is just around the corner. Will Tobias be able to keep August safe or will both their lives and those around them be in jeopardy ?
Add in Nazi’s and artifacts and you get an intriguing cozy mystery.

Was a good listen
I thought the author did a good job pulling the reader in, giving a believable story, with great characters. Was a good plot and did make me smile a few times. I enjoyed the shocking deaths and near deaths, The romance was very touching and nice. The author made me smiles a few times.
I thought the narration was okay, there is background noise when she pauses, there are times when it is to fast and other times when the rhythm moves good. Her character voices are nice, you know who is talking. She reads a little to fast and should pause a little more. It was an enjoyable listen but felt off a little. Her male and female voices are very nice, I think sh has improve from the last time I listen to this narrator. She does give true emotions that you can feel.
All in all it was an enjoyable listen but just needs some work. I thought the author did a good job pulling the reader in, giving a believable story, with great characters. Was a good plot and did make me smile a few times. I really liked the mystery and danger.

Greed and power
August seemed like a smart @ss know it all. She played amateur slouth and misinterpreted some "evidence". The villains are not surprising. but I enjoyed the journey. August infuriated me with her hard headedness and jumping to conclusions. Wolfe had a lot of patience with her!!!! I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did female voices well, but not the male counterparts.

I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic mystery. I loved Wolf and his struggle with attraction and policing. Not reading the other books in this series was no problem. I didn't even know there were any til I was finished. Well written. Well enjoyed.
I listened to Audible version and believe Holly made this book even better. She brings out the emotion and excitement. She has a wonderful voice. Even her male characters were enjoyable. I was particularly moved during the HEA portion at the end of the book. Well done.

Perfect blend of Romance, Heat, & Thrilling Mystery
This series is Highly Recommended!
The character are deftly written and compelling. Opposites attract in this story, giving the impression of an older, dominant, caretaking sort of Chief Inspector magnetically drawn to the impish, jump-before-you-think, young art gallery owner. The setting is a castle in Austria. The narrator is superb. The story draws you in organically, climbing to a thrilling peak of suspense. I listened to three books in this series one after the other, refusing to be interrupted by another author until I’d reached the end.

Interesting events
This book seemed similar to the others in the series, but I still enjoyed it. I liked the story line around the murders. Characters from the first book play a significant part in this one also, but you don't need to read the other books in the series to enjoy this one.
I like the voice of the narrator. Since I know many Austrian people the accent didn't seem quite right, but it did help convey who was talking at any given time. There were a couple portions of the recording that sounded like background noise or where the voice was hollow.
Overall, I would recommend this book to people who enjoyed the first book (or two) in the Love and Murder series.

Great ending to the series!
August and her mom Lacy are heading to Austria to meet Lacy's grandfather to learn about her dad and her heritage. But he mysteriously dies the day they arrive and the rest is a wonderful whirlwind of adventure, mystery and love. Brenda Whiteside does a beautiful job with this series and Holly Holt brought it to live in a great way! This is crammed full of action and suspense. I love that Lacy is in this story too! Lots of danger and guessing who is doing what and why. Its an intense ride and I don't expect anything less from this amazing author!

A Legacy of Love and Murder
Having missed book 2 in this series, I don't feel like I have missed much, they seem to be standalone books. But I would defiantly say still listen to book 1 it ties into this book a lot. Lacy finds out she has a living relative and heads to Austria to meet her grandfather who had no idea about her. Both were excited about the reunion, but when she arrives no one but her grandfather had know about her and he died the morning of her arrival. This throws her right into another murder investigation. August, Lacy's daughter is the lead in this book and she's as brave and gutsy as her mom. One aspect of the book intrigued me though why was she planning on selling the art and antiques that belonged in the castle? That seemed to be part of the Legacy you would want to preserve. Especially since the home did tours. Holly did a nice job on the narration. Thanks Audiobook Obsession for the recommendation.

A legacy of Love and Murder
OK, I loved the first book and the second was not bad, so I decided to read the third story in the series.
There are similarities like the main characters are divorced, all intellectual, beautiful, the victim is someone they know like a family member.
The murder themselves and the place it occurs are different and the characters have there own personalities.
It took a while for me to get into this one because of the similarity to the other two books but once it progressed I got more into it.
