Publisher's Summary

Scarlett would do anything to save her unborn baby, even return to a time she never thought she'd see again. Not for a moment had she missed the constant scrutiny of a celebrity life. To reappear now, inexplicably pregnant in the eyes of the modern world would create a media circus, but Scarlett knows she can overcome any obstacles with Laird at her side and the help of new friends drawn together across time itself by the enigmatic Scotsman known as Auld Donell.

The crafty old Scot had been busy over the years, not just meddling in Scarlett's life but browsing through time, tweaking history and changing the fates of his other "projects". They'd all received a second chance at love, but are unaware of how closely they're connected despite the years separating them. Unaware of how their Fates are entangled. And unaware of how Auld Donell's "master plan" to right a few wrongs of his own will put all their lives in peril against an unforeseen enemy.

Laird Hepburn spent years enjoying his wife's fantastic tales of the future world, but he'd never expected - or wanted to see it for himself. Now to ensure the survival of his unborn bairn and protect his family, he must face that alien world head on.

Last book in a series

I read the book before the listening to the book. I enjoyed the book; however, I did wonder how a narrator would pull off all the characters being together in one book. Not well. First, Hugh's name for Clare has completely changed in pronunciation. Emmy is supposed to be from Memphis, but has a now Scottish accent in the book. I loved the narrator in all the other books, but it seems like she did not listen to herself or review how each character sounded before recording this book. So glad I read the Kindle version first.

Can't stop listening

Enjoyed this book so much that I replayed it for a second time. LOVE that most of the characters from the other books came together. Sad the series is over and that these couples won't "see" each other again.

The epilogue hinted about Connor's background as an adopted child, but that book was set in an alternate universe, so I'm not sure how that comes into play. Epilogue also hints at Danny and Reese' stories, so I hope books with their stories are in the future plans. Would have loved a family tree diagram at the end of the book.

Disappointed

Not nearly as enjoyable as the other books in the series. Didn’t like the story and the narration was over the top. Not worth the credit.

Wonderful series.

I've now listened to all 5 books in the series and all are worthy reads by themselves but once you start, it is hard to stop. Well written and beautifully narrated. Well Done!

Intriguing twists, turns and bends.

The stories tie together, many secrets unfold in this dramatic story. Love can conquer much.
I totally loved this story, and all the people drawn across time and space.
It irritated me that Claire’s Gaelic name was pronounced differently in this story than it was in her and Hugh’s story.
A must listen.

Oh, Auld Donell is at it again!

Quite an enjoyable read. Ms. Fortin has creatively brought together all her time traveling couples to present day in one diverting narrative. The narration by Kirsten Potter was excellent as in all the previous books in this series. Kudos to the both of you.

All the Scots

A good wrap-up to the series, bringing back most of the characters from the other books (or at least a mention of them). Lots of danger, intrigue and some very interesting revelations!

Some Plans Go Awry

This is the culmination of all five books and wow! It’s a doozy. Although the first part is a bit slower, it really needed to be in order to keep everyone straight and figure out how they’re connected. Not to mention how Auld Donall fits into it all. Or rather, what his plan has been in moving them through time. It’s a wild adventure and no option of putting the book down once the critical action begins.

Once again it’s well-written. Angeline has a beautiful way of describing scenes, emotions, people, and things. The entire series is not the typical time-travel story but has a wonderful storyline. The characters are endearing, especially the Scots, and the sentiments of everlasting love and second chances are marvelous.

I read the ebook and also listened to the audio version. The narrator is good (except for the different one in book 3). Her Scottish accents are great and I never had difficulty knowing who was speaking. One thing: in this book she changed her pronunciation of some names, which bugged me. I value consistency.

brilliant series

Loved every minute of it. Couldn't stop listening. This is the second time I listened to this series and loved listening to all four of the books again. Really like this narrator she's so good. I really hope there are more of this series. Maybe one of Connor's ancestor.
