Publisher's summary

George covers his fear of loss by trying to be as much of a man as he can.

As a boy, he lost his mother and feels like it’s his fault. He doesn’t want to find a wife, she would be just another woman for him to lose. When he seeks the attention of the new poetry teacher, it’s only to have a good story to tell the other hands. Unfortunately, every time he gets near her, he can’t think of anything but poetry.

Phoebe Root believes if she doesn’t spread a love of poetry, the art will die.

When a cowboy casually enters her class and shocks her with his reaction to her poetry, she can’t give up on him.

An illness settles over Belle Fourche, as dangerous as the one that took George’s mother. Will he let her go to avoid another loss, or hold tight and claim his first love?

Buy this tension-filled sweet romance by best-selling Christian author Kari Trumbo. It's book seven in the highly successful Brothers of Belle Fourche series.

Lives up to the previous books in series

I am really enjoying the "brothers" and will look for more. This was no exception! I was introduced to this author by the audio books in this series and continue to look for her books in audio and kindle format.

Love Can Change a Man for the Better

George Oleson wasn’t very likable when he was first introduced in book 4 in this series. He was angry and participated in mean jokes and pranks. He was emulating men in the bunk house he shouldn’t have by his actions and he also felt like no one respected him, which made him even madder. Phoebe Root seems to bring out a different side of him, one that is poetic and caring. But she’s been hurt by a brutish fiance who was only after her family’s business and her job doesn’t allow her stay in one place long, so she’s afraid to form attachments. It isn’t until she falls ill and George feels just as helpless as he did when his mother was sick and he couldn’t save her that he starts to realize the extent of his feelings for Phoebe and that if he doesn’t take the risk and give her his heart that he will regret it the rest of his life. This was a sweet conclusion to a wonderful series. I loved reading about the Olsen brothers and cousins and their expanding families. I only wish there were more family members to continue the series.

The narrator has a nice even smooth accented tone with inflections and voice changes in all the right places.

Good Story & Narration

One look at George and you could see the anger and guilt, no love for him. The poetry lady comes, with words of love expressed through poetry.
Can changes happen, then when their is illness, Will he shut himself away or embrace what he has found. Good characters in George & Phoebe
Good narration brought out as he was changing. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

A Sweet Clean Easy Read Romance

“A Lady Loves Much (Brothers of Belle Fourche Book 7)” by Kari Trumbo
A sweet clean romance in turn of the century American west that is an easy read. The big question, will George and Phoebe overcome prior events in their lives and redefine their futures? Or, will they continue on following the paths they have planned for themselves. I received a copy of this audiobook as a gift. And truly did enjoy my time within the story of these characters. Happy Reading ! !

Great Read

A Lady Loves Much (Brothers of Belle Fourche #7) was another great read by Kari Trumbo. George feels as though his mother's death while he was a boy was his fault. He never wanted to find a wife because he feels that he will just lose her too. He seeks attention of the new poetry teacher, Phoebe. An illness takes over Belle Fourche and it's just as bad as the one that took George's mother. I really enjoyed reading George and Phoebe's story and can't wait to read more by the author.

Loved it

I have forever believed that things happen for a reason, you meet people when you are suppose to meet them, those you meet-you have something to learn from them. This is very true in the book. I thought this book was fantastic. The ending to this series was great. The characters are well developed and easily relatable.

I listened to this one on audio. The narrator is fantastic. Love him.

Wonderful series!

There is SO much to love about each title in this series...I may have to go back & do a binge read...it's definitely worth listening again!
After their mother died, Dad just couldn't seem to get on with his life even though his sons needed him desperately. This has left each of them with obstacles they are still struggling with as adults. But when a woman catches his eye, the effort becomes worth the change.
I really appreciate having the same narrator throughout the series as it helps the story flow without the mind having to readjust.
I requested a review copy & am willingly posting a review of my opinion. It has been wonderful getting to continue the saga.

perfect

I enjoyed listening to J Scott Bennett , perfect for this book

I so love Kari Trumbo books.

Having lost his mum as a boy and feeling it was his fault , George hides his fear of loss and dose not want to lose another woman, that's until he meets Phoebe the new poetry teacher....
It is not all plain sailing , as Phoebe becomes ill and George may find his worst fears come true.

This is a wonderful story

A great ending to an amazing series.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the Brothers of Bell Fourche series by Kari Trumbo that is narrated by J. Scott Bennett, and A Lady Loves Much has been no exception to that.
