Unsure of the MC’s Motivations
The main character’s motivations weren’t clear and I found some of her decisions annoying. The narrator’s voice was so monotonous that I constantly had to stop listening.

Great read
Great read for anyone who enjoyed Devil Wears Prada and the Bold Type. Especially appreciate the Iranian/Middle Eastern representation, which is so uncommon, and the authentic references to Iranian culture and diaspora life. Loved listening to this and finished it quickly! It was my first fiction audiobook and got me hooked!

Loved this modern work tale! I felt like I was listening to my favorite girlfriends day in the life. Definitely a fast read really enjoyed the woman who read the book. She did a wonderful job.

I thought it would never end.
The story dragged on and on and I truly didn’t understand some of the main character’s choices. I was disappointed.
