Book Club Selection/Five Star Rating

This book was my book club's selection for March, 2021. I thoroughly enjoyed the chronicled life of Pastor Sam Collier before his quest to find his biological mother, which was at
the suggestion of his adoptive father. His twin sister was the one who landed the spot on the Steve Harvey Show. Some of our book members opined that the quest for the biological mother was slow in developing, which caused them to abandon the book. Others of us thoroughly enjoyed the journey of his and his sister's life before reaching that climatic part of the book. Pastor Collier's transparency was so refreshing and honest. Being a Christian is a one-time decision, but the journey from there is often full of pitfalls and wrong turns. Realizing that God is ordering our steps and weaving our lives is a remarkable revelation for all believers. It lets us know that His ultimate plan is always for His Glory, not ours. I would highly recommend this book!

By God’s Grace

This is one of the most impactful books that I’ve listen to/read so far. My grandmother gave this book to me about six months ago and I’ve always put it off but finally I decided you know what let me pick it up and read it, and of course it was challenging at first, trying to find the time to focus, which is one of the key points. The author speaks about but once I finally found the focus, it was an exhilarating ride. I am glad I took the journey with the author, Sam and I appreciate him for telling his story, because it has been a impactful, blessing to my life.

Being a young Man I’ve been dealing with sexual sin.
I could relate to his story on wanting to be delivered on destroying my own dream. This book is spiritually moving. It’s brings hope to your mind to help you realize God is in Control.
