The AI voice drove me nuts

The AI voice has no emotion. Made the books very dry and boring it was a free listen. I would not buy this or any book read by AI.

story was good but the narration made it hard to listen to... total lack of emotion

Computer “reading” had too many errors.

The monotone of the “reader” was hard to follow during conversations. Had to keep track of which characters are speaking.
MO is for Modus Operandi not “mow”
CI is for Confidential Informant not “see”
And the worst is “hit and run” being read as “hit an drun” ???

Good story line

I liked the story line. Unfortunately as it was ready by virtual voice I found it very wooden and lacking any emotion or excitement

AI voice bad

The AI voice was so bad it was distracting to listen to. I will be careful not to get books read this way

The robotic voice is very evident every time the word “yes” is used. And there are a lot of them!

I only listened for 2 hours. So I really don’t know if the story is good, but I don’t plan on finishing it. Too annoyed with the reading. Although (surprisingly) most of the time the voice sounds real. But you can tell that many parts lack feeling. And the “yeses” sound like a robot. Once someone said ‘yah’ and it sounded more human.

I don’t know if the story was good because the AI voice was so bad I couldn’t listen to it any longer. I lasted an hour.

I know who killed your daughter

This sucked sorry I couldn’t get into this. It jumped around. I had to rewind d back up to see what i missed. It wasn’t what I missed it wasn’t there.

Painful and difficult due to AI

On a positive note, the voice itself was pleasant, but performance was abysmal.
I am not a fan of AI. This series confirmed it. AI cannot replace human voice. Humor gets lost. There are no pauses where there should which made it necessary to listen multiple times for clarity due to AI inability to correctly perform. I think the book was written for AI. There were multiple yes and no questions sections which were boring and extremely annoying. I plan to never listen to an AI book again.

AI voice is stiff and boring. Sounds like a young child reading an adult book. No emotion.
