Publisher's Summary

Life used to be simple.

I was a city girl with humble dreams. Then Dylan O’Dea broke into my flat, held me against the wall, and told me to stay quiet.

It was like in the movies, where the universe zeros in on a single scene. I looked into his eyes and knew he was going to change me.

For Dylan, the sky was always falling. He showed me how our world is a contradiction of beauty and ugliness. How we choose to ignore the awful and gloss over it with the palatable. How you need just a tiny drop of something unsavoury to create every great scent.

Pretty deep for a pair of teenagers living in a block of council flats in inner city Dublin, right? Probably. But we weren’t typical. We both had our obsessions. Mine was growing things, Dylan’s was scent. He taught me how to use my nose, and I introduced him to the magic of flowers.

I had no idea that one day he’d build an empire from what we started together. But before that, there was love and happiness, tragedy and epic heartbreak....

My name is Evelyn Flynn and I’m going to tell you about the crack in everything.

Best Worst book I've ever read.

I only say this book is "bad" because I'm still crying while I write this. The ending was too realistic for me. Honestly, this book was SUPERB! I LOVED IT! The narrator was also very pleasant and I enjoyed listening to the Irish accent. This book was very well written and extremely insightful while still being extremely enjoyable. I loved the characters and all the different personalities. This book was a true piece of art and very well rounded. 10/10 recommend.

Heart breaking and beautiful

Beautifully written, relatable characters that make you laugh and then cry. No happy ending here, so if you’re looking for that you’ll have to read on to the next book...

Wonderful

With Main characters that are heart warming and secondary characters who make their own way into your heart. The end of this book was simultaneously heart-warming and wrenching. I am not ashamed to admit I cried. Wonderful story. HAVE to get the continuation

It's ok.

It was just an okay story. The ending could've been better and was pretty predictable.

Bored to tears

Barely made it past chapter one and every cliché was there. So bored. I mean where's the originality?

So Much Talent

I'm not going to say a lot about this because it would be hard to do without spoilers. I'll just say that it's moving and beautiful and difficult. L.H. Cosway breathes such realistic life into her characters. They are multi-dimensional and fascinating. My only caveat with this story is be aware that it is book one of a duet so the story doesn't end where the book ends.

Awwwwwwwwwwww I’m still in love

What a beautifully written coming of age story. It’s less sexy time for a “romance” novel. But it’s complicated, lovely, sweet, amazing. Worth the read. Left me satisfied and crying. Bravo.

an easy love

Evie and Dylans love is sweet and everything a young girl wishes for. If only life always could be a fairytale and everyone get HEA. this book left my heart broke, you ant help but cheer for Evie and Dylan and plan their future as you follow them on their journey of puppy love. But life always must test people and shake the foundation you spend so long building. I laughed I cried I longed to be Evie and wished my first boyfriend was Dylan

The love of a lifetime

I'm excited for the couple to get together in every romance novel, but some couples feel fated, like they absolutely have to be together. This is one of those couples. I can tell, because I'm pining for their happiness for the entire novel. It's not just about their attraction to each other and the anticipation of when they'll act on it. They are just the perfect fit in every way, even if they are opposites. There is this intense longing for each other that is interwoven with the physical but is also a longing for the person. Every romance author wants to convey this exact feeling, but few succeed. I've only found it in books with the level of angst that's in this one. Maybe the hardships are what make the bond so strong between them, because the people that come after didn't live that with them. They understand each other in a way that no one else does. Also, when people fall in love so young, they sometimes go all in, because they are not yet guarding their hearts since they haven't had them broken. I loved that Dylan was the hot boy at school but not a player. He got to experience everything with Evelyn, and their sexy times were hot, sweet, and natural. Beyond the romance, these were such interesting characters. I haven't read about a character before with Dylan's talents, and I found his process fascinating. I also enjoyed hearing about modern day Dublin, and I loved the Irish accents. This audiobook was a pleasure to listen to, and my heart felt full. All the emotions were earned and real, and I cried despite expecting what happened. My heart broke, but it was worth it. I'm so glad this is not the end though, because I'm still pining for these characters.
