Publisher's Summary

When Feyre kills a wolf, a beastlike creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a magical land, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal. You can skip it

It was rather eventless and boring. A recap on how everyone is doing and feeling and very little has changed. I also agree with the comments that the focus on Feyre and Rhysand becomes repetitive now after so many books and other characters should take the spotlight.

Outstanding

I cannot express how much I adore this book series. There is a huge amount of depth to all of the characters and you experience the high and low feelings right along side them as their individual journeys unfold. The descriptive talent of this author truly sparks your imagination and invites you to see through the characters eyes. This book is my favourite. No big battles or quests, it’s about life, love and building a future. I am desperate for more.

same great story but lacking depth

Whist i have remained hooked on the high lords and high lady's story for the first three books i felt thiis book was a mere whisper of the others and lAcked direction and soul. So many potential threads to weave the stories of each character left hopefully to create the next book....a proper full book not a squeeze of a novella such as this. I craved more which was not delivered even with a pro use to conitinue as was in the previous books. Shame really. still a fan though. Not worth the money paid.

Fab little short story

I really enjoyed delving back into the world of ACOTAR and seeing how the war had left its effects on each character.
I had to slow the narration down to 0.90 as at speed 1 it sounded too fast to what I was used to previously and i didnt feel like the narrator kept the same voices as in the previous book. I still miss the first narrator.

Overall enjoyed and cannot wait for the next one.

Beautiful bridge book between the two trilogies.

Although not a great deal happened in this book it was lovely just to interact with the characters again and get a little glimpse into what the next three books will be like.

Terrible story

What a half arsed way to tie off this trilogy.

It would have been much better to focus on the other characters and their recovery instead of shopping and sex.

cute filler

it wasn't the worst but it wasn't the best book. Just an ok filler to wrap somethings up.

Just a bridge

If needed to be written, but it did feel like nothing happened. This book seemed like a bridge between the previous story and the possibility of the next one.

Nice

Overall a nice little story, not as exciting as the trilogy but still gave me the warm happiness as I listened through it.
