You can skip it

It was rather eventless and boring. A recap on how everyone is doing and feeling and very little has changed. I also agree with the comments that the focus on Feyre and Rhysand becomes repetitive now after so many books and other characters should take the spotlight.

What a delightful novella!

Sarah J. Maas is truly the most generous author out there! She could have easily let us stew until she’d dropped the next book in a Throne of Glass series, but no. We have this wonderful tale to keep us satiated until then. She is undoubtedly my favorite author of this decade!

In love forever

I loved it! Everything, the story, the narrator, the world. I loved everything about this book. Except, maybe, that it ended.

nothibg happend

Not very interesting. Nothing really happend. Would however recommend if you want romantic scenes, gift shopping and repetition of what's already happend in the previous books.

Horrible

I was disappointed with this book. After a fantastic sequence, the author presents this story without grace, sombia and with embittered personages, haunted by the past.
After understanding the point of view of the story, I can say I did not like it at all. I think it could have been presented differently.

Fab little short story

I really enjoyed delving back into the world of ACOTAR and seeing how the war had left its effects on each character.
I had to slow the narration down to 0.90 as at speed 1 it sounded too fast to what I was used to previously and i didnt feel like the narrator kept the same voices as in the previous book. I still miss the first narrator.

Overall enjoyed and cannot wait for the next one.

Beautiful bridge book between the two trilogies.

Although not a great deal happened in this book it was lovely just to interact with the characters again and get a little glimpse into what the next three books will be like.

A Nice Setting Novella

From all the books I have found this was the most settled one, allowing us to make room for the spin off novellas for the other characters in the series. Sarah J Maas has an excellent way to create character development and she does this in ACOFAS so well that the Maasians of the world are all in hope for a Cassian and Nesta spinn off! The world needs to see that world and know how it develops

Simply wonderful

I loved this book. It isn't the big sweeping epic of war and battles that the preoivs book was, it was a more personal story of family, loss and healing. I only wish it could be longer.

Oh it's good!

Sarah J Maas has done it again, this is gonna be another epic serise to get lost in, I can feel it.
Love the build up, the way the characters are introduced, the whole concept is brilliant.
I'm totally hooked.

SO GOOD!

I enjoyed this installment to the series. I loved the humour and how well the friendships and lives of everyone were explored. My only problem was Nesta. I feel like she's not herself through the book and thst may have been the point. I just feel like the character could have been treated better. If anything more of this series is written, I hope for a brighter future ofr Nesta.

Fantastic

Great short novella in the ACOTAR series. Amanda Leigh Cobb reads the story beautiful and voices all the characters well. A lovely listen.

Okay but didn’t quite do it

Nice book but didn’t really tie up characters stories. Left feeling not finished, too many things left undone.

Too Fluffy

I really enjoyed the main ACOTAR trilogy but I left it a few months before I decided to read this one. I needed a book with Star in the title for my Astronomy OWL so I thought now was the perfect time to pick this up.

This book picks up a few months after the end of A Court of Wings and Ruin. The gang are trying to rebuild Prythian from the aftermath of the war with Hybern and preparing for the Winter Solstice.

I enjoyed this catch up with Feyre and the others but it was all too happy. I know, I know it doesn’t always have to be doom and gloom but there was no twist, no big drama, just a family fight that has been long brewing.

I didn’t hate it. I just wanted something a bit more. The other three books were so epic that this one just fell a little flat. It was all too fluffy for me.

Aftermath

This book follows on after the war and delves into the past histories of each of the characters during the Winter Solstice holiday. It is a book of the calm after the storm. It also reveals that Feyre, no matter how she would like people to see her, has, in my opinion, a cruel streak, whereas Rhys shows he can really be quite a compassionate person.

Going back to her relationship to Tamlin, Although he tried to keep her prisoner and was mislead by the High Priestess, Lanthe into certain actions, he did it because he was terrified of what might happen to her after her imprisonment and death under the mountain. What he did was wrong, but what her sister Nesta did was also wrong. What Feyre did to Lucien was equally wrong. She also seemed to think it mattered not to throw Lucien under the bus in her quest for revenge. Yes, he was weak, but that was not a reason to do what she did to him. Rhys had far more of a grudge than Feyre. However, even he, when, seeing Tamlin was broken, offered a small slice of compassion. Yes, our Feyre is not the sweet, selfless heroine she is portrayed as.

I loved every minute of this series and it is one I will certainly listen to again.

Unfinished storyline....

I’ve really enjoyed this series but this book felt like it came up short when it ended as it felt like there was loose ends for some of the characters.... unless this book isn’t the end of the series?

Didn't quite live up to the others

I loved the other 3 books in this series but was a bit let down with this "fill in waiting for the real story" to come out next book. Didn't quite have the impact and excitement of the others. Still waiting on answers hopefully the next book will give.

nope. more dissapointment

i wasted money on this thinking it would tie up the loose ends left from book 3..but no...it just wasted a credit..and my time and left me with more questions. After loving Sarahs Glass thrown series this series was beyond dissapointing. Amanda did a great job narrating thankfully.

Ehh

The whole book is like a filler chapter even though it sets up for dealing with the aftermath of of the wall coming down talks about dealing with it and then it’s like she just forgot and it’s all about a holiday and presents. Waste.

Quite disappointed.

I loved the story overall but I feel like this specific book was unnecessary. It ended so abruptly, I still have many "what about.. ?" & "what happened.. ?" *sigh* & I though the Archeron sisters were infuriating. 3/10.

Not good

Maybe I’ve just out grown out of this genre or style of writing, but I was very disappointed and quite bored with this book. I’ve listened to all the others but never have I caught myself cringing as much as I did through this one. Sarah has unfortunately fallen victim to over writing and pointless descriptions that has probably been employed for lack of story and need to complete an entire book (just my personal suspicion).

Terrible story

What a half arsed way to tie off this trilogy.

It would have been much better to focus on the other characters and their recovery instead of shopping and sex.

cute filler

it wasn't the worst but it wasn't the best book. Just an ok filler to wrap somethings up.
