Publisher's summary

NAACP nominee and USA Today bestselling author Beverly Jenkins returns to her beloved Blessings series with a Christmas wedding in the town of Henry Adams, Kansas.

Ever since Bernadine Brown bought the town of Henry Adams, her relationship with diner owner Malachi “Mal” July has had its share of ups and downs. But now they’re finally ready to say “I do.”

Or are they? As wedding preparations go into full swing, and families both local and extended begin to gather for the festivities, that long awaited walk down the aisle hits a speed bump that may derail everything.

But Mal and Bernadine’s relationship isn’t the only one being tested.

Preston Mays aka Brain, loves his girlfriend as much as he does physics but when she decides being a couple is no longer a good thing, his heart is broken. Will connecting with his bio dad’s family ease his pain?

Reverend Paula Grant has been patiently waiting for God to send her someone to share her life. When the town’s charming new chef arrives in town, she wonders if he could be the one.

And then there’s former mayor Riley Curry who throws a parade with his hog Cletus! There’s always a lot going on in Henry Adams, and this will be a Christmas to remember.

Not long enough!

Oh I love this series. Enjoyed the development of Paula and Thor’s story. I’d love to read about their love story.

I loved reading about Preston and Leah’s relationship and how they worked through the challenge of staying together even though they’d be going to different schools. Their parents and Paula helping Leah with her insecurities gave hope to young love.

The way that Ms. Jenkins wove so many parts of the previous books into this story, I hope will make new readers want to read the series. There are many more stories to tell.
Amari’s Morehouse experience
Devon and Zoe’s music careers
Do Preston and Leah graduate and get marry becoming this super STEM couple.
What happens for Krystal?
No more Riley and Cletus…

Finally, love Malachi and Bernadine’s love story and the fact they are finally man and wife.

Ms. Jenkins are the Hallmark of Black Love. We need to read and hear about because it gives me JOY!!

I love this series!

This series is everything! From the introduction of the children to Malachi and Bernadine finally getting married this series is flawless.

I am so happy for Paula and Thorn and hope that there is a book that focuses on their story. A story about he kids as adults would be great or even a new series with books featuring each of them that includes updates on everyone else in Henry Adams.

Whatever Ms. Jenkins decides to do I pray we do have to give up these characters or this town.

Great Book

I always listen to all the previous Blessing novels by Beverly Jenkins before reading the new one. The latest book was amazing, and I genuinely hope that there are more books to come in the series. The community is so much fun, and I love immersing myself in this fantasy world. I'm eager to know the story of the Reverend and Thorn, as well as the first's development to college (only three more). There is so much more that I would love to read without having to imagine it myself. So, Ms. Jenkins, please keep writing about Henry Adams. Also, the narrator of this book is better than all the narrators of the previous books.
