Publisher's summary

Welcome to Perfect, Indiana, where the heartbroken go to find hope again.…

Cory Marcel built a successful military career over eight grueling years. But after her commanding officer brutally assaulted her, she lost everything. Shattered, Cory reluctantly agrees to work at a furniture store in the picturesque town of Perfect…but she wonders if she can ever escape the demons haunting her.

Ted Lovejoy may have cofounded Langford & Lovejoy Heritage Furniture, but these days, everyone makes decisions without him. He’s ready to walk away from his beloved business…until he sees Cory. Now he finds himself determined to help the fragile brunette rebuild her life.

Every time Ted gets too close to Cory’s heart, she pushes him away. But this kind, soft-spoken man could hold the key to healing her past and to creating a loving future for both of them - if only Cory can learn to trust once more.

excellent

I couldn't edit the second book, after writing the review, I got the book's mixed up, but in this one as the other two, you will learn to appreciate the veteran's that have served our country and came back with problem's, but the ending is just as good as the other two. women also serve and are abused. men and women that serve our country are very brave. this series I recommend for anyone who has or hasn't served in the service..

An Engaging Romance with Sympathetic Characters

Not as strong as the first two entries in this series, but still enjoyable. Even though they deal with violent and frightening conditions such as PTSD, these books are actually very gentle romance novels. The characters are all genuinely kind and good. There are no external villains.

This 3rd installment was slightly less sympathetic than the first two. It bothered me that the female character was postponing treatment she desperately needed, just to make a point. And her condition seemed to be treated very inconsistently.

Other than that, this is a comfortable, easy to read book for a summer day when your mind isn't up to reading anything too complicated. It isn't great literature but a strong contemporary romance.

Another great book in this great series

Once again another wonderful book I have not been able to put my Kindle down as I started reading the first one last week. I have been through all four books last Monday and I love the all.

Great story which will appeal to many women!

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed listening to this story and following Cory's story as she made her way through her recovery. It was great to see how she and Ted grew together too. Very touching!

Sexual Assault

The story was good, but it’s a leap to think someone suffering from SA can go from barely kissing someone to being caressed, held, and made love to in the same evening. A gradual build would have been more believable.
