A solid second installment
You know, for someone relatively new to Paranormal Cozy Mysteries, I am finding myself enjoying this Priscilla Pratt series more and more.
The series' second installment, A Bite in Blueberry, was good fun. I clearly noticed an improvement over book one; the writing was markedly better, and there was more of an actual sense of 'danger' in the mystery.
Furthermore, I also felt that the narration underwent an improvement.... or I am just more used to Cindy Kay's voice. Either way, the return of Cindy Kay as the story's narrator helped me feel back at home in Priscilla's world.
Overall, I enjoyed A Bite of Blueberry; the solid plot, charming characters, mixed with a captivating mystery made it an excellent cozy. I look forward to diving directly into book three and seeing what is next in store for Bellmare.
