Drawing on his insightful sermon series, renowned pastor/teacher David Jeremiah shares the comfort and hope of the Psalms and how these truths can guide believers through life's greatest challenges. He includes inspiring real-life stories of people who have struggled with terminal illness, the loss of a child, or the imprisonment of a spouse. Jeremiah interweaves his own journal entries, revealing his battle with cancer and how the Psalms helped to sustain him during the fight of his life. A Bend in the Road is an invaluable source of help and encouragement for people facing major obstacles in life.

Having gone through cancer 4 times this was a good book to keep things in focus

Great information

I have read many David Jeremiah books… I have always found them to be encouraging and uplifting. This book however affected me in a different way… Firstly...I did not like the reader....something about his voice...it seemed tense rather than calm, serene which is what I have come to expect. This book actually made me anxious, feeling like I am just waiting for God to strike me a terrible blow in order to teach me something…now I’m left wondering when, not if, this catastrophe will strike. I had to leave 1/2 of the book unread because I knew I would struggle with thanking God through great adversity as others in the book had and that, in turn made me question my faith. I am now looking for another book..

Disappointed
