Compact but a bit too fast-paced

I am a novice investor, so this seemed to be a good purchase to help acquaint myself with the terms and a broad overview of how the stock market works. I did learn a lot, that's for sure. I also have not had a chance to review any accompanying reference materials. That said, this is a quick listen - almost TOO quick. Acronyms are explained once, almost in passing, then never explained or reminders provided again. At one point, I completely lost the sentence due to all the acronyms and terminology that had only been explained quickly and one time. With a few more listens, I think I will get the full value out of this book, as it is definitely a keeper, but I may find myself supplementing it with a combination of a Great Courses programs and some kind of "investing for dummies" book, just to ensure I understand the basics more thoroughly. Definitely a recommended listen/read, even with all the internal website promotions.

Not really for beginners

Although the book was informative, it’s hardly a beginners course by far( in my opinion.).
Way too many terms to understand within the flow of the book.
The math only makes sense if you know where the numbers come from. I thought a beginners book would have a slower pace. Maybe it’s just me.

Excellent for true Beginners

I am just coming to an age where I need to consider investing. I had always heard about investing in the stock market, but I didn’t may much attention. This book in some ways has opened my eyes. It is extremely beginner, and that also means that it is more of a table of contents than a formal guide. I now feel like I can confidently continue researching and informing myself in this area with this book as my foundation.

Easy investing startet

This is an enjoyable listen if you are thinking you need to learn about investing. I got the deal with the Kindle version and switched between the two. I plan to reread, take notes, try some of the ideas in small experiments. Worth the time and money.

Excellent book for beginners

I already have experience in the market but I told myself it wouldn't hurt to see another persons perspective on what a new trader should know and this does not disappoint. I learned about two new things that I wasn't fully aware and it was explained clearly. The rest of the information was more of a reinforcement of what I already know and refresh my memory on things I should know by now.

I like how easy it was to listen through while I go about my day and pause and go back to hear what the narrator said and capture the idea to remember in my head. Overall, I am suggesting this book ALREADY to my friends who ask me about the market. This is a must have for any beginner. I can't wait to see what else the author has in their collection as I see there is quite a library of them.

Very short book

This was a decent intro to trading, but be warned that is is tragically short and simplified. know that before you buy, and it may be worth the $14

Extremely important book for everyone

This is a very easy simple explanation of exactly what it takes to make your money make you money...simple as that

This audio book is a shit

Don't bye, you go to lose money completely waste of time and money. Don't out your money in the trash.

Not basic enough for a beginner, needs to strip it back to basics. Meaning of Very short book for something so complex.

A very good read to get myself back into business

It is a great book for anyone who needs to get back at trading / investing after a break. The claim for a beginner will work if there is a chapter that explains some of the key terms / concepts, perhaps towards the end of the book. However, it reads really well and offers good understanding within a short audio book. it was hard to stop before finishing it.

Great book ans definitely reading again

Not knowing anything about fundamentals of stock market, I decided to read this book. The author kept his promise of “I will teach you” part in the preface.

One improvement I think this book could have in the next editions is by covering more rudimentary definitions such as Bull/Bear markets, liquidity/volatility etc. but this is just my take.

nice to always hear another perspective on a subject and this was a clear and concise breakdown of different trading strategies.

Doesn’t really work as an audible book when using lots of numbers

Many instances where the author is working out a numerical example and this just doesn’t work with an audio book and is very difficult to follow.
