An Investors's Dream Audiobook

I was intrigued by the name of this audiobook and keen to understand the concept. As someone who completed a Master's in Business Administration, I thought I’d have a basic understanding of the concept but how wrong I was. This information is on another level – comparing ratios, profits, inventory turnover and others. This is the perfect book for investors and people who are climbing the corporate ladder and hoping to make significant profits.

I particularly love Chapter 7 – What CEOs say and what they mean, very insightful indeed.

No Fuss, Just Knowledge

The thing I appreciate about this book is that it teaches me concepts that the title claims to teach, and does it without saying anything extra. The Texan accent of the narrator is also super fun despite the material itself being a bit boring (because it's a lot of math and accounting).

Informational and accurate

This book has a lot of detailed information. However, the way the content is delivered is super dry and boring. A couple chapters really didn't relate to the book and disrupted the books flow. The book have been done a lot better overall.

Delivers on promise and more!

Let me say this outright, WAO! It's been a while since I raved about anything, especially reviews, but this book is really loaded. I had so little knowledge about investing, relied on my regular 401k provided by my job, and would get notices on investments I had no control over or knowledge about. A colleague recommended I read this book just published to see if I learn anything. Thanks, Uche, for this recommendation, and now, I am recommending this to everyone without reservation. Get your learning pad out and take notes. It says 6 hrs plus, but it took me an entire 2 weeks of going back and forth taking notes. It's that good. I Learned how to analyze a company's financial reports and business, and how I can make great returns by buying stocks below their true value. It has real-life examples of single investments that changed lives, such as taking action with Tesla in 2014. I invested in Tesla but so little that the writing on the wall would be so apparent if I had this information. Back then, a friend literally took out a loan to invest in Tesla and begged me, but he could not explain why I still beat myself up for not listening. I had lost money in the past, and of course, I thought he was crazy. With the knowledge I gained here, I would have known how to assess a company's value and get basic ratios to assess the business's health. Glad this is the first in-depth investment book I had to listen to. I highly recommend it.

Fundamental to learning Fundamental Analysis

A very conversational book. The author talks you through the steps of Fundamental Analysis in a clear and organized manner. Best for beginners learning the vocabulary and concepts of valuation. But still works for an entry level analyst who should be able to grasp every concept. The Amazon analysis is very clear and concise and the author does a great job simplifying difficult areas of the financial statements. It is long but needs to be for the full use of Fundamental Analysis. The real value is the ease in which the author navigates through topics that could be landmines to learning the concepts.

Amazing!

If you are like me and have no idea where to begin when it comes to growing your investment portfolio, then you should listen to this book. You will learn some fundamental skills to help you come out on top. I learned so much and would highly recommend this book!

Gave clear understanding to a complex topic

This audiobook is a great primer to understanding the process of valuing a business. The process of fundamental analysis isn’t glamours but if you want to achieve any margin of investing success, you must understand HOW to value a company. This audiobook does it’s job and more. Plus, the narrator speaks clearly and concisely.

I enjoyed Chapter 5 the most because it teaches you the process of calculating value markers within a business. It’s like looking under the hood of a car with the knowledge of a world class mechanic.

Very Informative

I had very little knowledge regarding investing. Thank you for making the information simple and easy to follow! This will be my goto for not only myself but my family as well.

A practical (advanced) beginner's guide

I've listened to a few books about investing for beginners. I truly enjoyed this listen as I found it to be just a touch more technical, even though it still appealed to me as a new investor. Even with my prior knowledge, I learned a lot through this book and found the "red flags" warnings highly interesting - it opened my eyes to some of the reality of what I'll be going into. Overall, this is a solid guide to cover all basic knowledge, tools and jargon of fundamental analysis, without too much of a headache!
