Publisher's summary

Bethany Phoebe Brady loves assisting her grandfather with his bee farm and volunteering at the Counting Stars Children's Home. A tall woman, she’s always felt awkward and unattractive, and now at the age of 27, she’s given up on the dream of a family of her own.

Until her grandfather and the orphanage founder come with a proposal that will change her life forever. Should she take a chance and turn her future over to the new matchmaking venture? Is her desire to have a family of her own enough to risk a future with a man she's never met?

Encouraged by his brother’s success with his mail-order bride, 29-year-old Moses Montgomery is ready to take a chance. After all, he orders things from a catalog all the time, why not a wife? She should be sensible and take an interest in his business at the livery stable.

Bethany prefers to avoid the stable yard due to problematic hay fever. Moses finds bees destructive and painful pests. She’s whimsical and fun-loving, he’s gruff and likes to keep things simple. Has the matchmaking agency made an error in judgment? Can affection soften two stubborn, opinionated individuals forging a relationship of the romantic kind?

Enjoyable

This is centered around one loveable family that you wish you could belong too. The children of this family are finding wives through mail order. This idea isn't new, in fact it really did occur in the history of the US.

The narration was lively and entertaining. I always so enjoy listening to this narrator.

While Moses wasn't my favorite character I did find things to amuse me in this tale. I felt like a few conversations could've enhanced this story. This has some very hilarious moments.

Being in Love

What a delightful story. Narrator was good. Bethany has always felt awkward being tall and given up any thoughts of having a husband and children. She is encouraged by her grandfather and friends to take a chance on a matchmaking service of her Church. Moses is certainly set in his ways, but decided to give the matchmaking service also a try, since it has worked for his family. Will two opposites come together, wait and see.
I was given a copy of the book by the author for an honest review.

Sweet Historical Romance

An interesting story as these two strangers work out the quirks and kinks of their new relationship. My favorite parts were being caught singing, and discussion upon first seeing the house.
I enjoyed the narration and song, but wish we could have heard a bit of the Tennessee twang the story suggested.
I'm definitely seduced by this series and the family dinner discussions!

Well done

A heartwarming story, of a young girl being raised by grandparents, her life is full. A program offered by her church to be a mail order bride. Two opposites and how love came. The author brings humor, some old friends from past stories and we welcome some new. A story of family, taking a step in faith to be a bride. Enjoyed and thought well done, with good narration Given audio for my voluntary review

An interesting book

The story of Bethany and Moses was fun to listen to and it was informative about bees. Both were a bit reluctant about the idea of the matchmaking thing, but they realized that they were doing the right thing. J.Scott Bennett is great narrating this story.

Loved it

This was a great book. I loved how Bethany's character was written. She is fun, loving, loves kids, is realistic, and has an unusual hobby. I loved her relationship with her grandparents as well. Moses was equally well written. The way he interacts with his family is great.

I got the chance to listen to this on audio. The narrator does a great job of bringing this story to life!

Sweet Romance

This book was so sweet, but with a little twist. It didn't take long for Moses and Bethany (Bees) to know they wanted to marry. However, in a short amount of time they realize there are some definite issues they need to work out. The story of their acceptance of one another and overcoming differences is delightful and inspirational.

The narration is quite acceptable.

Enjoyed this!

A cute story full of love, friendship and family. A fun mail order bride book. There are a bunch of cute little riddles about bees in it as the main character is a beekeeper.

The narrative was well done.
