Mobster Love

This tale was beautifully bittersweet.

In the black community, family, togetherness, unity, and love are essential for our survival. It's sad that Mikayla's family lacked these characteristics.

If one watches The Godfather, one realizes how the characteristics of love, family, togetherness, and unity are also in the Italian family. To see how they accepted Mikayla with open arms is a beautiful moment of unity.

This was a story full of action, romance, and loads of drama.

loved the story in general. was very easy to follow and didn't get boring

NOT BAD FOR A VIRTUAL VOICE!!!

I liked the male and female voices. The storyline was good. Virtual voice pronunciation of words used earlier in the listen; changed and did not change back to correct pronunciation. That was jolting! When I am just reading I autocorrect!!

Steamy & a Switch

In this read I like that the man was more in the forefront how he felt mattered more than in other books I’ve previously read. He wasn’t shown as whiny or whimpering for being vulnerable, just the opposite. His strength shown through do that the woman was able to believe and trust him with less hesitation I’m assuming than her normal. I also loved how each character had their own spotlight that then still centered on the two main characters. The storyline is still woman meets man something happens they fall in love etc etc but the intriguing nuances of how the story plays out by keeping you on your toes and immerses you within so that you become the characters and want to react is what had me continuing to read and sharing with my friends. I hope you read it’s a really good listen it even had me look up the narrators lol.

I'm blaming baby brain

The female lead does go back and forth like she doesn't remember they had that conversation, so I'm blaming baby brain. The male lead also changed his mind too but for him it just happened once then he was all in. His family is great! Her family is a mess. Lots of drama to keep you entertained
