Publisher's Summary

Eight years ago, Scott and Gaby shared one very special night. Not wanting to ruin their friendship, they didn't take things further...but neither of them has forgotten. When Scott's friends stage an intervention to make him realize that his fiancé, Victoria, is all wrong for him, he takes time to evaluate his life.

He's earned a big promotion and just bought his dream car, but those things are just superficial. The one time he was truly happy, was with Gaby. Gaby is in a good place in her life. She loves her job, has the best friends and family a girl could ask for, and is dating a sweet and sexy guy, but she's never stopped thinking about that night with Scott.

Eager to find happiness again, Scott makes a plan to win Gaby's heart during a weekend getaway, but she doesn't want to be his rebound girl. Will 42 hours be enough to convince Gaby that it's finally their time for love?

Great Read

42 Hours (Time for Love #3) was another good read by Bethany Lopez. Scott and Gaby shared a night together eight years ago. They never took anything further because they didn't want to ruin their friendship. Scott is engaged to Victoria and all his friends believe she's all wrong for him. His friends decide to stage an intervention which leads him to reevaluate his life. He realizes that the last time he was truly happy was when he was with Gaby. Gaby is in a good place and dating a sweet and sexy guy, but she can't forget about that night with Scott. Scott plans to win Gaby's heart while on a weekend getaway. Scott has 42 hours to convince Gaby that it's their time for love. I really enjoyed reading Scott and Gaby's story and can't wait to read more by Bethany Lopez.

Third Book of A Close Group of Friends Grow Up

A part of a series of friends growing up from high school to adulthood...but could be read/listened to separately.
Each book revolves around one couple with their friends as secondary characters.
Each couple learns to appreciate each other as they get older, what is i,portent and what isn’t.
This book involves a couple who didn’t pursue a relationship after high school because they were going to different colleges. Dating other people, one engaged...they find their relationship after all the friends hold an intervention when the man is going to marry someone they know won’t make him happy.
Goof narration and a background provided to understand each couple, their issues and the road blocks to over come.
I received a free audiobook for an honest and voluntary review.

This is a mess!

Gabby was a cheater & the nice neat resolution to this mess, with people apologizing to her for their reaction to her cheating was stupid

42 Hours

We really saw this couple coming and although I am not the happiest at how they finally came to be, I am very happy with the way things ended. Narration is really good. I was able to tell who every character is just by the voice being used.

42 hours

This was a nice romance book with a supportive group of friends who have the quality of a loving family. The audio version has quite a few mistakes in the recording, but not so bad that you will be upset.

Friends to lovers romance with all the feels!

For two books we have seen Scott and Gabby circle each other and trying to ignore what they feel for each other. But for how much longer can they deny what has been brewing between them for nearly eight years? In 42 Hours by Bethany Lopez we finally get their story and though I have always felt they were made for each other; my heart broke a little as well for another character.

Scott has been engaged to Victoria in the two previous books and though he can see she may not be for him; he can’t seem to break it off. When his friends try and make him see what is ahead of him if he stays the course, will he finally be able to break free? Gaby knows she loves Scott, but finally decides to move on and has been dating Brock. She is in a good place right now. But when Scott is finally free, what does that mean for Gaby?

I loved Gaby and Scott previously and together they seem perfect, but as they have been in different places in their lives for years, is this finally their time? 42 Hours by Bethany Lopez, narrated by Ivy Wilder, was a bit angsty, sweet and full of all kinds of feels.

Happy listening!

Poor narration

I enjoyed the story and characters of this series. However, this particular one kept repeating lines as tho she stepped away and lost her place. I got tired of it

Good book bad editing

Once again a good book was made mediocre because the editing was poor. Duplication of scenes and you can hear the narrator click on and off the recorder.

I received this book via an Audioboom Promo Code and this is my voluntary review.

Scott's daydreaming along, living his life ticking all the right boxes, up for promotion, nice house, loves his car etc.. when his crazy bunch of co-dependent friends stage an intervention. His Fiancee Victoria? is basically a Hellcat they can't stand and they don't want to see him stay on this course to wake up in a decade miserable. Now he's finally been forced awake to take stock of his situation he realizes the only time he was ever truly happy was with friend Gabby... who is casually dating the business partner of a mutual friend; Brock. Timing has never been right for the two of them ever since their secret hookup 8 years ago and he's decided enough is enough.... Scott knows what his future looks like and it smiles like his best friend. Ivy Wilder does an amazing vocal performance as Gabby tries to convince herself that she doesn't want to be his rebound girl, leading Scott to plan a weekend away with his friends... 42 hours to make her see everything that could be between them before she gives her heart to someone else. during the organised weekend at a lakehouse he pulls out all his best moves to lure her in. She is has been harboring feelings for him since high school which he didn't know, making the risk of opening herself up that way all the more daunting.

As much as I loved the story, I did feel that things only began getting interesting when Brock discovered the pair and I was much more invested in HIS relationship with Gabby than the underhanded tactics of Scott to get the girl he wanted but who was already taken.
