3rd Degree: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!

Detective Lindsay Boxer is jogging along a beautiful San Francisco street when a fiery explosion rips through the neighborhood. A town house owned by an Internet millionaire is immediately engulfed in flames, and when Lindsay plunges inside to search for survivors, she finds three people dead. An infant who lived in the house cannot be found; and a mysterious message at the scene leaves Lindsay and the San Francisco Police Department completely baffled.

Then a prominent businessman is found murdered under bizarre circumstances, with another mysterious message left behind by the killer. Lindsay asks her friends Claire Washburn of the medical examiner's office, Assistant D.A. Jill Bernhardt, and Chronicle reporter Cindy Thomas to help her figure out who is committing these murders, and why they are intent on killing someone every three days.

Even more terrifying, the killer has targeted one of the four friends who call themselves the Women's Murder Club.

Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration with complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

It was good….but

Storyline was good but very predictable as others have mentioned. Tthe performance was not great and the music was weird. Sounded like they added weird elevator music in at odd times and it didn’t add to the story at all.

Like the characters

I know, I am behind on my reviews, already up to novel 15.
The characters are well established and like in all of our lives, stories happen, right or wrong. It does.
I love how characters are well established and storyline contents.

Lindsey is wonderful

I just Love Lindsey Boxer. She is the perfect mixture of badges and damsel.

Storyline

Although I read previews before about the “acting” and music, I found those aspects unremarkable as a “complaint”.

I had started this series over as audibles for my drives to/from work. I find myself listening to when painting at hone as well.

Sad to see Jill go… almost had me thinking her husband’s business doings was the “personal” connection. I am liking the characters…

I like that there is not a lot of fluff in his description of surroundings. Often nonessential. I can be an impatient reader.

Although I have read many of these books… I will likely enjoy continuing with the series.

Not his best!!

The story was predictable. The performance was very read, not natural. The character’s voices actually hindered the listening.

Entertaining story, lazy writing

Story was interesting and engaging, narration was okay - at least better than most. The writing felt lazy, with a lot of repeating descriptors and pointing out of very obvious things.
