Publisher's Summary

At 211º water is hot. At 212º, it boils. And with boiling water, comes steam. And steam can power a locomotive. It's that one extra degree that makes all the difference. Use this powerful metaphor to reach new heights.

Powerful, Impactful

sometimes we assume that we need a really long book to get a point across. sometimes we think we need to read three or four or more just to have a better understanding of the topic. 212 degrees simplifies it in one of the most powerful ways I have ever heard. I am definitely a junkie of mindset and self-help books. I strongly desire to improve my performance in anything that I take the time to do. I just finished the book and now I plan on listening to it again because there was so much, so simple, in such a short time that's I feel like he said everything that needed to be said followed by a mic drop. I plan on sharing this book with everybody on our sales team. this was powerful.

Love This Mentality

I really liked the message of this book. It’s relative to all walks of life personally and professionally. It’s about effort and doing that little extra and really drives home the point that it really is that little extra than can be responsible for great accomplishments.

Awesome concept and beautiful book

The concept is pretty much a law of nature. The book itself is a work of art. Some of my favorite quotes that support the concept. Great narration. Sam Parker is a great human being!

Simple, yet effective food for thought...

Narrator was well-spoken. The book content is simple and effective.
I don't usually write reviews but 212° has accomplished it's goal, to motivate me in "going the extra-mile...

Underwhelming

the book begins with a very compelling metaphor boiling water but that is as far as it goes. I went away from this audiobook feeling underwhelmed.

Amazingly Inspiring

What made the experience of listening to 212 The Extra Degree the most enjoyable?

It motivates you to go the extra mile to accomplish tasks.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the analogy of likening hard work and effort to turning up the temperature on your effort or drive, so that your energy to achieve goals bubbles like boiling water.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No. It reinforced those things that I already knew. It was a common sense approach to working on your life's goals and objectives, but most of all, it reminded me that I must push through when I'm discouraged.

great concept but lacks substance

I really like the idea of giving the extra degree of effort to separate yourself from others. 212° is a fantastic concept. Personally though I thought the book seem to be very basic in the way it developed the actual action steps. For example, do one extra special thing a week every week and at the end of the year you will have 52 extra special things. I felt it lacked meaningful substance.
