slow, but steady

I have no idea why I have grown to love this series. Maybe it's because I've grown up in the Midwest and can relate to most of the characters, or because I love Lee and JuJu. The book does run a bit slow. While there is zombie action, it's not as prevalent as other zombie books I frequent. The characters are complex, and the storyline is strong and structured. The narrator is great at bringing the story to life and giving the characters voices. I'm not gonna lie to you. It's more of a chick flick type series. So, if you are into that, I do recommend starting at the first book and following the series through.

We get that he likes the girl

The story was really good but a good 1/10 of the story was the main character talking about how much he likes the other one. We get it already.

Apocalypse Road

Sooo the narrator makes all the men sound so dumb and country. It’s very distracting and takes away from the story. Overall, the story is okay but I’m struggling because of the narrator. Hmmmm, decent story but narrator…

Not sure about this series

In thru book 3 now, but I gotta tell you, that Ginny is grating my last nerve. And Lee getting her to NY for family who are probably dead when he carries the cure he needs to get to Atlanta is pretty stupid. The ‘let’s go to NY where the weather is worst, to see if my Mom is alive (when most of the population is a zombie but us 5)”, is pretty stupid. Not sure if I’ll get the next. When I’m starting to fast forward thru chapters its a bad sign.

Edge of your seat

Love love LOVE this author, this narrator, and this series. It’s fun and quirky and keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time!
