Ceit Robertson, age 10, is the next Matrarc to the Society, a cultish matriarchal group living in an inconspicuous cul-de-sac in Venice Beach. Complex and addictive!

The main character, Cait, is powerful, but that can't save her from being a child. Sometimes we can deeply sympathize with her, sometimes we questions her choices. We learn more and more about the Society as the story continues, and the world of monsters lurking in the dark. The first book sets the stage for what I'm sure will be an amazing trilogy! Highly recommended for connoisseurs of supernatural fiction.
