Great listen!

I think MVP did an amazing job narrating her story! This book had a lot of heartfelt moments as well as thriller moments. My favorite part of the book was when MVP got the news she would be running to be President with her two baby nieces there to witness this historic moment.

Kamala amazing perservance. This was so touching in showing her patriotism and deligence to serve the American people.

I loved hearing her calm and soothing voice. She should have been our President. Now I would love to read this book again!

Remarkable works of a brilliant woman

This is one of the most well-written and powerful books I’ve ever read. Kamala Harris’ story gripped me, it’s not often I find myself reading a book in one sitting. The writing is exquisite, every sentence feels deliberate, every chapter charged with emotion and meaning. She doesn’t just tell her story; she makes you feel the weight of the circumstances, her personal struggles and triumphs as well as those of entire political party, a glimpse into a world few of us see.

What struck me most was how deeply human and honest this book is. She touches on difficult truths without flinching, yet somehow leaves room for hope. Her story has left me rethinking politics, gives a warning to the challenges we face individually and as a society, and gives me a glimmer of hope that is often missing in today’s political messaging.

I was struck my her strength and ability to not only run one of the most amazing campaigns I’ve witnessed in my lifetime, but to also balance it and effectively carry out her duties and responsibilities as VP.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Grateful for the sacrifices she, her family and friends made for our democracy. My hope is that she chooses to run again, our country needs her brilliancy, experience and strength, more than ever.

How sincere she was and is about her concern and caring for we the people!

Joyful Warrior, Indeed!

I'm glad she did, but after listening to VP Harris' account of those 107 day, I wish she hadn't.
She had the hearts & minds of almost 1/3 of eligible voters. The other 1/3 went to Trump & 1/3 didn't show-up. Why didn't she win?
-Good old American style racism & sexism
-The Biden campaign expected Harris to pass on the invitation to run, but they had to ask & then they got mad
-Harris' uber loyalty that made her hyper vigilant in protecting Biden's legacy
-Powerful Dems who worked behind the scenes to create chaos
-The White House's refusal to be an outspoken champion for Harris & her work
-President Joe & Jill Biden passive aggressive posturing that telegraphed their lack of enthusiasm for Harris - Biden wearing the MAGA hat was diabolical
-The lack of a process to vet multiple candidates to run for President before the convention
-VP Harris believing that she had to constantly reintroduce herself to the American people

Having said that: The book is excellent. I'm glad Harris decided to tell HER story to solidify HER legacy because after what she experienced - she couldn't trust anyone else to do it.

Harris loves her family, friends, and her husband deeply and that is an incredible blessing. She has to be the best Grand Auntie ever! I love that she uses salty language & has an I-will-beat-your-ass energy that she has to keep in check.
Harris is a genuine & genius public servant and I'm looking forward to witnessing her next chapter.
