この「スタートアップしよう!」は、いままさに起業しようという人への熱いメッセージだ。3年前、都内のコーヒーショップで3人の仲間が話しあったことが、プロジェクトの始まりだった。当時、モバイル・ブロードバンドやiPone/アンドロイド等のアプリのオンラインストアの普及により、低資本・少人数でも起業できるスタートアップの波が 日本にもやってきていた。だが起業家には一緒に事業する仲間を見つけるという、最初の難関があったという。そこで起業家が仲間を見つけやすい環境を作ろうという願いを込め、Startup Datingという名前を付けて、 定期的にミートアップ・イベントを開催したのがSD Japanの始まりだった。2013年からはメディア重視にシフトし、日本のスタートアップ・シーン の情報を世界へ、世界のスタートアップ・シーンの情報を日本の起業家に届けるのに注力している。この3年海外(特に東南アジア)を飛び回って池田氏が肌で感じた、一度日本という国の外に踏み出してみることの大切さなど、ライブ感溢れるインタビューになっている。(C) Pamlink Corp.Pamlink Corp.
