  • AGE TESTS EXPLAINED: How Dr Nic uses science to define our celebrity guest's results
    Mar 19 2026

In the first bonus episode of our new series of Dr Nichola’s Second Opinion, resident scientist Dr Nichola Conlon is back in your feed with more of the science behind What’s My Age Again?

This time she’s unpacking biological age tests: what they measure, how they work, and what they can really tell you about your health.

Dr Nichola explains why we all have two ages (chronological and biological) and how the show’s go-to GlycanAge test reads patterns to reveal how fast – or slow – your body is really ageing.

Listener questions take us from pollution and skin ageing, to healthspan vs lifespan and “inflammaging.”

And it’s back! Each week we sign off with Dr Nic’s Quick Fix.

This week: How to choose the right test and use results for insight rather than anxiety.

Send in your questions using our socials and we could be answering them soon on Dr Nichola’s Second Opinion.

  • Jimmy Carr : Fasting, Fame and Facelifts
    Mar 17 2026

Comedian Jimmy Carr looks suspiciously youthful at 53, despite spending decades touring relentlessly and living life at full speed. Is it the Botox? Hair transplant? Intermittent fasting? Cold plunges? Probably all of the above.

But behind the jokes is a serious question: which of these habits actually make a difference? And how old is Jimmy on the inside?

We’re constantly told the secret to staying young is diet, exercise or the latest wellness trend. But what if the real answer lies somewhere deeper, in how we deal with stress, ambition and purpose?

Jimmy shared his approach to longevity, from biohacking to fasting and recovery AND mindset and resilience, we're joined by Dr Nichola Conlon, verified science woman, who uncovers the science about staying younger for longer.

And we'll answer the question on everyones lips : Is Jimmy Carr ageing backwards… or just hiding it well?

  • Katie Piper - Her life changed at 24, now she’s 42. Which number will her biological age be closest to?
    Dec 9 2025

Katie Piper spent the second half of her twenties recovering from a violent acid attack, and coming to terms with how her life had permanently changed. Nearly two decades on, her life couldn’t be more different.

In this wide-ranging conversation, Katie and Katherine cover being a wayward teenagers and how attitudes to alcohol change as you age, the false and short-acting currency of beauty, and how she found faith after her life-path was changed at 24.

As Katie observes in her 2025 book Still Beautiful, age is a gift not everybody is given, which is why she’s very happy for journalists to print her real age. She doesn’t think that traumatic life events have added to her biological age, but the day-to-day reality of being married with children may well have. Listen to this episode of What’s My Age Again to find out how accurate her predictions were.

  • Sandro Farmhouse – will the Bake off’s star’s biological age be another show stopper or a wet sponge?
    Dec 2 2025

He didn’t win the final but Sandro Farmhouse was the star of The Bake Off 2022.

He takes Katherine behind the scenes and reveals it’s not all sprinkles and icing on the show and tells her the lengths he went to, to get in that infamous tent.

He’s made cakes for Little Mix, Katherine and hiss show-stopper for Stormzy brought him lots of new followers though not necessarily for the right reason.

Sandro’s early years were in Angola and he talks openly to Katherine about how fleeing war has impacted on him and Katherine’s concerned, trauma at a young age, may play out in his biological age.

Nichola delves into his exercise routine and promotes a balanced approach. Sandro argues abs are more important than biological age and Katherine sort of agrees. Sandro admits he still licks out the bowl on occasions and Nichola explains for people prone to a sweet tooth, the healthiest way to consume sugar.
