The podcast where you will find guidance and strength for life's toughest battles. Here you'll be inspired and spiritually grounded through my daily devotions, discovering the power of deliverance and peace that comes from God's Word. Our series is centered around first Peter four and seven through 11, and we want to make the most of our time. And we talked about in the last episode, is that your time is limited and you must make the most of it. In our text today, Peter wants his audience who's suffering, who's going through persecutions. Peter wants them to realize that time is running out, and they must make the most of it. The Bible says in first Peter four and seven, let's read it. It says, but the end of all things is at hand. Therefore, be serious and watchful in your prayers and above all things. Have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without grumbling, as each one has received a gift, ministered to one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.00:01:34 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. How do I make the most of the time that God has given me? Number one to make the most of your time. Brothers and sisters, I want to plant this in your mind, your soul and your spirit. You make the most of your time by being spiritually intelligent. Spiritually intelligent. We're talking about discernment when we say spiritually intelligent, Peter says, but the end of all things is at hand. Then he says, therefore, be serious and watchful in your prayers, the terms serious and watchful in your prayers. This has to do with being sober. To be sober means to be mentally alert, thoughtful and sharp. The word intelligent is the mental capacity to learn, understand, reason, and adapt to new situations. Peter wants his audience to be spiritually intelligent.00:03:00 That means to have spiritual Discernment and wisdom. He says, therefore, be serious and watchful in your prayers. Why? Because the time is running out. God wants you to be spiritually sober and intelligent in your prayers. Here's the reason why. Because the devil, the enemy, hunts the spiritually unintelligent mind. He hunts the person that's not sober. This is why first Peter five and eight says this. It says, be sober. Be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. See? Who can the devil devour? The devil can devour a mind that is intoxicated by the influences of the world's philosophy, the world's latest trends. The world's desire to see. That is an intoxicated mind. It's an unintelligent mind. A spiritually unintelligent mind. Who can the devil devour? A mind that's not sober or mentally alert? A mind that's not spiritually sober or or mentally alert, sharp in the spirit? Who can the devil devour? A mind that lacks spiritual intelligence to discern, to understand, to adapt in the spirit? This is the reason, brothers and sisters, that every ...

📔 Devotion. In this episode of the "Warfare Prayers" podcast, pastor Derrick Crosby reflects on the spiritual significance of time, using the dash on a tombstone as a symbol of our earthly lives. Emphasizing the urgency of living purposefully, pastor Derrick Crosby encourages listeners to devote their time to daily prayer, devotion, studying God's Word, and Bible Study, focusing on God, especially as the return of Jesus approaches. Drawing on Romans 13:11 and 1 Peter 4:7-11, the episode concludes with a heartfelt prayer for wisdom and strength to fulfill God’s purpose in the limited time we have.📖 Today's Scripture"Romans 13:11": "00:01:50""1 Peter 4:7-11": "00:03:21"💡 Main TakeawaysThe spiritual significance of time in one's life. The symbolism of the dash on a tombstone representing the time spent on earth. The importance of how one uses the time given by God.The urgency of living a righteous and purposeful life in light of the return of Jesus.Biblical references emphasizing the need to be mindful of time (Romans 13:11, 1 Peter 4:7-11).The concept of time as an irreplaceable resource.Encouragement to fulfill God's purpose before time runs out.The role of prayer and immersion in the Bible in making the most of one's time. The idea that true life is found in dedicating time to God.A prayer for spiritual insight and strength to live according to God's will.🙌 Call To Action Subscribe To Warfare Prayer Podcast for daily inspiration, devotion and prayer. Here you'll be inspired and spiritually grounded through my daily devotions, discovering the power of deliverance and peace that comes from God's Word. A tombstone contains a date of birth, a date of death, and a dash. Above these things is the name of the deceased, and below usually will be some kind of statement. But the main part of the tomb is the dash. It's in the dash that we learn what that person did with what God gave them and that is time. The dash is symbolic of time on earth when we meet God. The date we are born. The date we die won't matter. The dash will be all that matters. What did you do with the time? That was given to you? Time is what's of value. You can waste money and make it back. You can lose valuable resources and get it back. You can lose a job and get another one. But what you can't waste is time.00:01:50 Once it's gone, it's gone. In your time. In my time. Brothers and sisters is running out every day. We are closer to Jesus returning. Every day. We're getting closer to the end of the world. And every day you and I are getting closer to death. Every heartbeat. Romans 13:11 says this and that, knowing the time that now is high, time to awaken out of sleep for now is our salvation near than when we first believe. You don't want the clock to run out in your life and not have done what God wanted you to do with the time that he gave you. We're in the book of First Peter, chapter four, verse seven through 11. And I urge you, brothers and sisters, to make a commitment Mint to make the most of the time that you have left. The reason I say that is because Peter was speaking to an audience who was suffering, who was going through trials and tribulations, but he told them in first Peter chapter four verse seven, he says, but the end of all things is at hand.00:03:21 When he says, the end of all things is at hand. He's talking about time. And in our next few episodes, we're going to talk about how to make the most of the time we have left according to the Word of God, because your time in my time is running out and we have to make the most of it. We do that by prayer. We do that by reading the Word of God. We do that by focusing on God. Because when we give our time to him, he's going to give something greater to us, and that is eternity. That is eternal life. Your time is your life. And Jesus says, you will not find life unless you give him your life. Then you will find life. So, brothers and sisters, let's pray over the next few Bible lessons that I want you to be a part of. And we're going to learn what the word says about making the most of your time. Let us pray. Father, in the precious and matchless name of Jesus, we come before you today, father, because we desire to be close to you.00:04:52 We desire to hear your word. We desire to walk in your path. We desire the righteousness that comes from you. We desire the holiness that comes from being in your presence. And father, we pray right now that you would give us ears to hear, eyes to see, and a mind to meditate and understand your word. We pray that the word hides in ...

00:00:00 Welcome to warfare prayers. The podcast where you will find guidance and strength for life's toughest battles. Here you'll be inspired and spiritually grounded through my daily devotions, discovering the power of deliverance and peace that comes from God's Word. Father, I lift up my son right now in the name of Jesus and by the power of your precious blood. I declare your word over his life. That is Ephesians six and ten. Your word declares to finally be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. I pray that my son would put on the whole armor of God today, that he may be able to stand against the schemes, the plots, and the manipulations of the devil. I pray, father, that you would illuminate his mind to understand that he is not wrestling against flesh and blood. But he is wrestling against rulers, against authorities, against cosmic powers over this present darkness, against spiritual forces of evil and heavenly places. Oh father, I pray right now that my son would take up the whole armor of God that he may be able to withstand in the evil day of temptation, in the evil day of weakness, in the evil day that the enemy comes against his life like a flood.
00:01:34 But father, I pray for your grace to take root in his life, that having done all, he shall stand firm. He shall stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, that my son may expose every lie, every manipulation in every plot, that my son would put on the breastplate of righteousness, that he will have a heart that fears you, father, that chases after you, and a heart that you love, that makes you smile, that is pleasing in your sight. Oh father, I pray that your faithfulness would prove itself strong in his life. That he will be established and guarded against the enemy all the days of his life. I pray, father, that my son would develop a sober mind. Give him discernment that he may be watchful, for the devil prowls around, seeking whom he may devour. But I decree and declare over my son's life that no weapon formed against him will be able to succeed. For he shall overcome all things, because greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world..........

  • Navigating Life's Groans: (Romans 8:22-28) (Devotion & Bible Study)
    Jul 14 2025
📔 Daily Devotion. In this episode of "Warfare Prayers," Pastor Derrick Crosby delivers a devotion and daily prayer guide based on Romans 8:22-28, exploring the theme "There is grace for every groan." The message highlights how life's struggles and suffering stem from original sin, but believers have hope, Deliverance, and the Peace of God through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit intercedes for believers, interpreting their deepest groanings and guiding them according to God's will and God's Word. The episode concludes with a heartfelt prayer, thanking God for His grace, Deliverance, the Spirit’s help, and asking for greater sensitivity to God’s Word, the Peace of God, and guidance.📖 Today's Scripture"Romans 8:22-28": > 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. > 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. > 24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? > 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. > 26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. > 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. > 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 💡 Main Devotion TakeawaysThe concept of "grace for every groan" in the context of suffering and struggles. The biblical basis from Romans 8:22-28 regarding groaning and hope. The impact of the original sin on human suffering and the resulting groanings of life. The role of hope in the believer's life, likened to a pregnant woman's expectation. The significance of the Holy Spirit in aiding believers during struggles. The challenges of prayer and spiritual connection due to human imperfection. The Holy Spirit's intercession on behalf of believers when they struggle to pray. The understanding that God comprehends our deepest needs and groanings. The empowerment and guidance provided by the Holy Spirit in prayer.A concluding prayer expressing gratitude for God's grace and the Holy Spirit's support.🙌 Call To Action Subscribe To Warfare Prayer Podcast for daily inspiration, devotion and prayer. The podcast where you will find guidance and strength for life's toughest battles. Here you'll be inspired and spiritually grounded through my daily devotions, discovering the power of deliverance and peace that comes from God's Word. We're in Romans 8:22 through 28, and our topic is based on this, that there is grace for every groan, and the groanings of life is the sufferings that we go through. Romans 8:22 through 28 mentions groan three times, because our groanings come from the curse of the first sin that was ever committed upon the earth, and we're still feeling the effects of that curse. So we have groanings. We experience pain, sorrow and suffering. But in the midst of our pain, sorrow and suffering, there's grace for every groan because of what Jesus Christ did upon the cross for us. And so the first thing that Paul talks about that we have in verse 24 is that we have hope. We have an expectant hope, the same hope that a pregnant woman would have, even though she can't see the baby, she can feel it on the inside of her, and she has an expectant hope that she will birth what's on the inside of us.00:01:48 This is the kind of hope we have. Not a hope that it might happen, but a hope that it will happen. But we also have in verse 26 and 27, which is my topic for today. Grace for every groan. We have the Holy Spirit. We not only have hope, but we have the Holy Spirit. Whenever we can't connect, we have the Holy Spirit. But in order to make things work, we need a connection with the Holy Spirit. There lies the problem because oftentimes because of our groanings, we can't connect because we have this thing that's called a fallen nature. Our fallen nature is that part of us that's prone to make mistakes, that's prone to fall. That's prone to sin. It is the imperfect part of us. And because of this fallen nature, we sometimes lack power to concentrate in prayer. We lack power to avoid distractions in prayer. We lack power to stop wandering thoughts in prayer. We lack power to prevent emotional changes in prayer. All ...

If you're depressed, if you're living in fear, if you're sad, or if you're discouraged today I want you to know that you will make it. This too shall pass in your life and everything will be alright. The Bible says that weeping goes on for a season, but joy cometh in the morning. I want you to know this, brothers and sisters, adversity in our life is going to come. Jesus says, in this life you will have trouble. But take heart because he has overcome the world. It simply means he has the blueprint of how to overcome trouble. And if he's living on the inside of you, if you are a child of God today, you will overcome because he promises to fight all of our battles. What we need is to have faith in him.00:01:37 Faith that God knows exactly what he's doing. Faith that God has his hand on the thermometer of our lives. He knows how high to turn the temperature up. He knows how low to turn it down. He knows exactly what we need when we need it in. His grace is sufficient for today. Don't worry about tomorrow or next week, or next month or next year. God will have the grace to meet next week, next month or next year. Sufficient is his grace for today. I want you to know this, that the Bible says in Philippians one and 21 it says something interesting. Paul says, for to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Adversity purifies our motives. Paul in this text he evaluates all experiences through his life purpose. And when he look over his life, he realizes to live is Christ and to die is gain. The more I suffer, the more I go through trouble and affliction it is, the more I experience Christ in me. See, understand that we go through storms, but God often reveals himself in the storm.00:03:17 He often reveals himself in light when there is There's darkness in your life. He often reveals his goodness in trials and tribulation. So be still. Know that he's working. He knows everything you need when you need it. And his grace will always be sufficient. You are a child of the living God, for he knows the number of hairs on your head. God knows it. He loves you and he will never leave you nor forsake you. I know it may seem tough. I know you may get lonely. It may seem like God is not hearing or listening to you, but he hears you. The Bible says he's our high priest. The word declares that the Holy Spirit groans for us. He knows and he loves you. Jesus says, take this cup of suffering the way, but not my will. Your will be done.
