Here you'll be inspired and spiritually grounded through my daily devotions, discovering the power of deliverance and peace that comes from God's Word. A tombstone contains a date of birth, a date of death, and a dash. Above these things is the name of the deceased, and below usually will be some kind of statement. But the main part of the tomb is the dash. It's in the dash that we learn what that person did with what God gave them and that is time. The dash is symbolic of time on earth when we meet God. The date we are born. The date we die won't matter. The dash will be all that matters. What did you do with the time? That was given to you? Time is what's of value. You can waste money and make it back. You can lose valuable resources and get it back. You can lose a job and get another one. But what you can't waste is time.00:01:50 Once it's gone, it's gone. In your time. In my time. Brothers and sisters is running out every day. We are closer to Jesus returning. Every day. We're getting closer to the end of the world. And every day you and I are getting closer to death. Every heartbeat. Romans 13:11 says this and that, knowing the time that now is high, time to awaken out of sleep for now is our salvation near than when we first believe. You don't want the clock to run out in your life and not have done what God wanted you to do with the time that he gave you. We're in the book of First Peter, chapter four, verse seven through 11. And I urge you, brothers and sisters, to make a commitment Mint to make the most of the time that you have left. The reason I say that is because Peter was speaking to an audience who was suffering, who was going through trials and tribulations, but he told them in first Peter chapter four verse seven, he says, but the end of all things is at hand.00:03:21 When he says, the end of all things is at hand. He's talking about time. And in our next few episodes, we're going to talk about how to make the most of the time we have left according to the Word of God, because your time in my time is running out and we have to make the most of it. We do that by prayer. We do that by reading the Word of God. We do that by focusing on God. Because when we give our time to him, he's going to give something greater to us, and that is eternity. That is eternal life. Your time is your life. And Jesus says, you will not find life unless you give him your life. Then you will find life. So, brothers and sisters, let's pray over the next few Bible lessons that I want you to be a part of. And we're going to learn what the word says about making the most of your time. Let us pray. Father, in the precious and matchless name of Jesus, we come before you today, father, because we desire to be close to you.00:04:52 We desire to hear your word. We desire to walk in your path. We desire the righteousness that comes from you. We desire the holiness that comes from being in your presence. And father, we pray right now that you would give us ears to hear, eyes to see, and a mind to meditate and understand your word. We pray that the word hides in ...
