  • Ep 15: When Life Says “Slow Down” – My Honest Update After 4 Months Away
    May 25 2025

    Send us a text

Welcome to Episode 15 of Unapologetically Me. After a 4-month break from the podcast, I’m back – and this episode is the most real, vulnerable one I’ve ever shared. Life has been a lot lately… From navigating the challenges of peri-menopause and a recent adenomyosis diagnosis to making the decision to begin home educating my children this July — I’ve been on a deep journey of healing, reflection, and slowing right down.

Since my baptism in March, I’ve felt spiritually tested in ways I never imagined. But I’m not shaken — I know I’m protected, I know who I am, and I know whose I am. 🙏

This is for the woman who feels like she’s burning out trying to do it all. The one who’s craving more time with her family, more peace, and a slower, more intentional life. I’m sharing why I’m taking back control, what led me here, and why I believe it’s time for all of us to get off the hamster wheel of hustle.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re running through life but missing the moments that matter — this one’s for you.

    Oct 2 2024

    Send us a text

Welcome back to Episode 10 of Unapologetically Me. It's been a while, I know. This week I share the real reasons behind my recent break from recording. It's been a very challenging few weeks as I’ve navigated some significant life changes, including my son starting secondary school, struggling with the transition— and facing bullying along the way. As a mum, this has been incredibly difficult to watch, and my focus has been on supporting him through this tough time.

On top of that, my husband and I began marriage counselling last week after a difficult time in our relationship. Like many couples, we lost ourselves in the busyness of life, but we're working through it together, finding solutions, and rebuilding our connection.

In this episode, I discuss the importance of prioritising family and personal well-being when life throws challenges your way. I’m opening up about the real struggles we’ve faced as a family and how we’re working through them with resilience, love, and patience. Tune in to hear more about our journey and how sometimes taking a step back is the strongest move you can make.

Welcome back to Episode 9 of Unapologetically Me, I open up about the emotional rollercoaster of watching my son start high school this week. As the only child from his primary school to attend his new school, he’s had a tough time adjusting, missing his old friends and struggling to make new ones. It broke my heart to see him come home upset, and it’s made me reflect on the challenges we face as parents when our kids grow up and become more independent.

I also talk candidly about my own struggles with anxiety as my children grow older and how letting go of the reins can be overwhelming. On a brighter note, I introduce you to our new puppy, who has brought unexpected comfort and healing into my life. As it turns out, I needed him more than I realised, and his presence is helping me cope with these big changes.

Welcome back to Episode 8 of Unapologetically Me. Today I open up about the all-too-common feeling of being overwhelmed during the holidays, especially when the kids are home. As mums, we’re often expected to juggle everything—work, home life, and parenting—without missing a beat. But the reality is, it’s okay to feel overwhelmed, and it’s crucial to take time for ourselves without guilt.

I share a personal moment where I recognised the need to step away, take myself out for lunch alone, and just breathe. In this episode, I’ll discuss the importance of self-care, why mums shouldn’t feel guilty for needing a break, and how being kinder to ourselves can make all the difference.

Join me for a heartfelt conversation about the pressures of modern motherhood and the vital importance of giving ourselves the grace and space we deserve.
