    On this week's episode the two Pauls are joined by former rugby player Dev Toner. Dev talks about his retirement from rugby, seriously pivoting his career to qualifying as a financial advisor and now working with Paul Merriman as Head of Partnerships. He also talked about how he came to the decision not to pursue a coaching role and to leave the game altogether. Dev shares the sort of person he was in school, how his finally leaving rugby came about and how ready he was to finish up by then and being excited by the next chapter. He and Paul talk about the importance of structure when building a business and the impact Dev has had on his business. They all discuss retirement in the traditional sense, the ways it has changed and how some professions lend themselves to carrying on well beyond that time. Dev also shares memories of his last game, what he misses about the game and what he doesn’t and reveals his best and worst spends!

    This week the Pauls are joined by Peter Daly, chartered accountant and tax expert, Peter is a good pal of Paul Reids and also works as an actor and writer. Peter shares his career journey and how he marries both passions, the arts and accountancy,

    Peter shares tax advice on for self-employed people and PAYE employees

    and covers repetitive errors and questions - sharing tax credits and where you might get some relief and how helpful revenue's website is for PAYE employees.

    They also cover expenses and flat rate allowances - how to find what you are allowed claim back, Paul shares tips on saving medical receipts and the importance of not claiming twice! Paul and Peter explain why you might choose to be a sole trader over a limited company. They also talk about various relief options and the importance of pensions for this.

    On this week's episode the two Pauls are joined by budgeting expert, Caz Mooney. Caz shares her journey from a busy mum to a budgeting expert with 160k Instagram followers- she talks about losing her job, becoming a stay at home mum and living with a long term struggle with finances. Suddenly having two incomes and that typical ‘lifestyle creep’ led Caz and her husband to overspending and landed them with a very large credit card debt, she talks about how they then they decided to embark on a 'low spend year' for 2019. She chats about getting the kids on board by promising it was only a year and they would make it fun! Caz shares how that went and how her family successfully cleared debt and also chats with the lads about the importance of budgeting, short, medium and long term goal setting and giving saving time and patience. She and Paul M share really helpful tips on how to save money as her journey continues.

    On this week's episode the two Pauls are joined by Sinead Glynn, solicitor with MHP Sellors Solicitors to talk about everything you need about wills.

    Sinead chats about who should have a will and why, she and Paul chat about the financial planning of wills - why people refuse to make a will and the potential pitfalls of being without one. Sinead outlines where to start - the homework you need to do before you go to your solicitor to make a will and explains why if you have assets or children you definitely need a will.


    They also chat about what happens in various situations; if a will isn't updated, family rifts and cohabiting couples vs married couples. They also discuss cost and tax and inheritance implications and what happens if people contest a will and why that might happen. They talk about who you should or shouldn't choose as an executor, trustee or witness and when you might engage a professional executor and why DIY wills are nearly never a good idea.
