  • 140 - If They Win - America Loses!
    Aug 5 2020

Episode 140 of the Thru the Gathering Storm Podcast will feature a piece by Chaplain R.T. Byrum. In it he will talk about the consequences of the next national elections for America.

“Elections have consequences” may seem to be a shopworn cliché but it will never be truer than in 2020. For decades the shadowy predator called socialism remained low key waiting for the right moment to strike at the heart of America. Having taken over the Democratic leadership, the fake news organizations and the social media, it finally had a crisis it would not waste—protesting the wrongful death of George Floyd, a man with a long criminal record. The openly Marxist organization, Black Lives Matter, jumped into action and cities burned. They must not be allowed to win.

  • 139 – CHURCHES WITH FEET OF CLAY
    Jul 4 2020

    Chaplain R.T. Byrum, the presenter.

Are you attending a Church with Feet of Clay? Will it be unable to remain united as one as the Day of Tribulation nears? As believers we are told to “not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing. Instead, let us encourage one another with words of hope. Let us do this even more as you see Christ’s return approaching.†(Hebrews 10:25) Attending regular church services is a vital part of learning of God’s will, while strengthening our faith through being with others of like mind. But there is a threat in picking a place of worship based on the entertainment value of loud music, smoke and colored lights.

There is a greater threat if the pastor and church leadership feed the flock with false or weakened spiritual messages. Some denominations draw people in with side show acts of healing that do not have the blessing or power of God involved. A more common flaw is sermons designed to please the ear and to avoid offending anyone in the pews. Instead of warning people of the signs of these end times and correcting those who are straying, the pastor chooses to “Play it safe†to protect the church’s 50 (c) 3 tax exemption.

What can and should a Christian do to protect his or her promise of eternal life while preparing to stand against the devil’s anger?

Chaplain R.T. Byrum tackles this difficult subject in this message.

  • 138 – Every Life Matters
    Jun 12 2020

Chaplain R.T. Byrum at work spreading the word about Godly wisdom.

Every Life Matters regardless of skin color. Conservatives and evangelicals are color blind when dealing with all people who were created in the image of God. So then, who are the ones truly playing the race card? A recent poll found 71% of respondents regardless of race believe that “most politicians only raise racial issues to get elected.†When President Trump worked to increase black employment, reduce taxes, lower the need for welfare, etc., he was met with cries of “racism, shallow propaganda and bigotry.†Why? Because the socialist left saw people of color waking up to how democrat leadership at all levels of government had used them. Indeed, Black lives matter, but so do the lives of every man, woman and child who was blessed to be born or naturalized in America. Elections also matter and we have the opportunity to recover from the pandemic and move rapidly back ahead, or fall back into the failed years under Obama.

  • 137 – God’s Unbreakable Promises
    Jun 3 2020

Chaplain R.T. Byrum at work spreading the word about Godly wisdom.

We live in a world that is increasingly untrustworthy. Broken promises litter the ground in every direction. Unfortunately, some of those fragile glass-like shards are all that remains from our own broken resolutions, missed goals, dishonored vows. Turning on the TV or picking up the newspaper reminds us of just how the promises made by our elected leaders are like dust in the wind. Who, then is worthy of our trust? Chaplain R.T. Byrum reveals a dozen of the estimated 5000 plus unbreakable promises from the very mouth of God. These include His promise to sustain our lives on this earth, but even more incredible are His promises of what comes next for those who believe and accept His Son as the long awaited and soon returning Messiah.

Don’t miss a single word of this podcast if you want more than this life offers.

    May 15 2020

    Mad as Hell

Chaplain R.T. Byrum at work spreading the word about Godly wisdom.

Chaplain Byrum quotes from the 1976 film, Network, when he says, WE’RE MAD AS HELL AND WE’RE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!! That is the increasingly intensive feeling of freedom loving American citizens who have never before experienced the heavy-handed techniques of a government out of control. During the three plus years of the Trump administration, the U.S. chalked up the lowest unemployment numbers, the highest numbers of people working, multiple records broken in stock market gains, reduction in crime, booming industry and the beat went on until…Covid19 and the democratic socialist movement. How long will America and the world endure this unprecedented disaster?

The locust plague that is devastating much of East Africa is threatening the lives of millions of people and animals. Since the beginning of 2020 swarms of these finger-long grasshopper-like insects have roamed across Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, and threaten India, Pakistan and Yemen. What is even more devastating are the droughts, floods and wars that these nations have been enduring in this decade. The economics alone will exceed billions. What is the cause of these catastrophes and is there any way to cope with them? Perhaps the more important question is, “Is there a reason why these events are happening, and, if so, why.†The answer is written in plain language in the bible most homes have on their bedside table. Take yours in hand and turn to the Old Testament book of Joel and follow along as Chaplain R.T. Byrum reveals the documented truth behind the judgments of God.

  • 134 – Why Does God Allow Good People to Suffer?
    May 11 2020

    Chaplain R.T. Byrum, the presenter.

“Why Does God Allow Good People to Suffer?†Chaplain R.T. Byrum, a regular presenter of Christian/conservative Internet TV programs on YouTube reveals the answer from the Bible, which is the Word of God.  As Pastoral Director of a large hospital, R.T. and his staff of chaplains are often challenged to answer that question. Thanks to the Covid19 pandemic and the political and media insanity accompanying this pestilence, the radical left is not letting this crisis go to waste. To them, this is a perfect opportunity to seize power and overturn the will of the people. Have you ever wondered, “If God is so merciful, why does He let good people suffer?†We may have even had moments when we ask, “How could we possibly believe in a God that doesn’t seem to care.†With all the U.S. and most other nations have experience during Covid19, there is great anxiety over staying safe from infection, worrying about loss of income, and being just plain stir crazy from the lockdown. Why can some people take things so calmly while others feel on the edge of breaking up? There really is an answer to finding encouragement, protection and comfort during these times of incredible trial. Follow Chaplain Byrum’s message all the way to the end.  It’s that important!

  • 133 – The Nature of Apostleship (I Corinthians 4-5)
    Jan 31 2020

    R.T. Byrum

Episode 133 of the Thru the Gathering Storm Podcast will feature a message titled “The Nature of Apostleship.”

Apostle Paul’s first letter to the Christians at Corinth included a warning for those in the church who were boasting about following him or Apollos or Cephas (Peter) rather than looking to God.

Chaplain Byrum reveals how Paul made clear that he and the others were mere men appointed to plant and water the church, but only God is to be followed.

His message is even more vital today, whether a person is a believer or a seeker after the truth: “Don’t put your faith and trust in man for only God can take you and me through this dying world into eternal life with Him.â€

Listen to episode 133 and discover more about the nature of apostleship.
