    If you're a woman over 40 having a tough time losing weight and you try reducing or cutting carbs in an effort to lose weight, but you're frustrated because it's not working - there's a reason.

    Carbs are essential for fat loss especially as a woman in perimenopause and menopause.

    Many women over 40 turn to low carb thinking it’s the answer—eat less, cut carbs, be “good”… and the weight should come off. And sometimes it does at first.

    But then something shifts.
