I am pleased to produce and publish on The World of Lord Russell Podcast Talk Show, 'Merlin The Left Wing Magician with Gordon Hill.

Gordon Hill is an English former footballer who played in the Football League for Millwall Football Club, Manchester United, Derby County QPR FC and was capped six times for the England football team.

Gordon Hill played 91 league games for Millwall, scoring 22 goals. After spending the summer of 1975 on loan with the North American Soccer League's Chicago Sting, and being named League player of the year, Gordon Hill subsequently signed for Manchester United in November 1975 for £70,000, forming a wing partnership with Steve Coppell.

Gordon Hill helped Manchester United reach the 1976 FA Cup Final, scoring both goals with long-range efforts in the semi-final at Hillsborough Stadium against Derby County. Manchester United lost in the final against Southampton.

He was also part of the 1977 FA Cup-winning side beating their arch-rivals Liverpool 2- 1 at the old Wembley Stadium to lift the grand old trophy. Gordon Hill left Manchester United for Derby County for £250,000 in 1978, with his sale by Dave Sexton deeply unpopular with supporters. At the time of his sale, Gordon Hill was Manchester United's top scorer and a favourite among fans.

Gordon Hill now lives in the #USA and runs a football acadamy in Seattle.

Despite suffering severe depression, arthritis and following shoulder reconstruction, Tim completed the world’s toughest row, a three thousand mile unassisted crossing of the Atlantic. When he set this exceptional goal, more people had been into space, and more than ten times the number had climbed Everest than completed this challenge.

Today on the The World of Lord Russell Podcast Talk Show is ‘The story of '65: Record-breaking John Boyle on Chelsea's first League Cup triumph’, which captures the incredible life journey of a former professional #football player, who played in the 1960s and 1970s for Chelsea Football Club, Brighton & Hove Albion FC, Leyton Orient Football Club and Tampa Bay Rowdies.

John Boyle was born in #Motherwell, and signed for #Chelsea as a 15-year-old whilst on holiday in #London. He was one of the lesser-known members of the successful Chelsea side of the period.

Playing in the winning Chelsea League Cup Final victory over Leicester City Football Club in 1965, FA Cup Final Runner up for Chelsea against Tottenham Hotspur in 1967 and winning the European Cup Winners Cup in 1971 for Chelsea agaianst Real Madrid C.F.

Yes, it's the iconic Steve Wicks the former Chelsea Football Club centre half, who created a dynamic duet with the mighty Micky Droy in the 1970s and 1980s.

Steve Wicks is an English former professional footballer who played as a centre-half, most notably for Chelsea, Derby County, Crystal Palace and Queens Park Rangers in the 1970s and 1980s.

Steve Wicks made his debut for Chelsea aged 19 in 1975. After initially leaving QPR for Crystal Palace in 1981 he returned to QPR in March 1982, but was cup-tied for their appearance in the 1982 FA Cup Final.
