  • S6E8 - The Seer of Seeing
    Apr 8 2026

In this episode Chris steelman's the Atheist position about the absence of God in the world of material objects and forces and the impossibility of proving its existence. He reinforces this bias on the basis of quantum physics, before tearing the whole facade to pieces. The quantum argument is undermined by the words of Erwin Schrodinger himself and bolstered by ancient religious ideas, which suggest two things: that Mind is God and that Mind and matter are one. From here is revealed (with a little help from the great wordsmith Eminem) that the impossibility of proving God's existence does NOT stem from its non-existence, but from our own ignorance of what constitutes evidence. So often, we can't see what's right before our eyes. We cannot see the Seer of seeing.

  • S6E7 - Spirits of God
    Apr 4 2026

In this episode Chris brings us Opinion Scholarship on the conflict between monotheism and polytheism. He asks whether these are truly opposing ideas or is there perhaps a shared origin between them? The answer takes us deep into the psychological significance of humanity's ancient pantheons, beyond to the animistic beginnings of all religion and finally into the tried-and-true myths of the Biblical Old Testament. We examine spirits, gods and angels in order to discover what we can know of the unknowable, transcendent God with a capital 'G.'

  • S6E6 - A Buddy of Jeff Dahmer
    Mar 23 2026

In this episode Kyle and Chris reunite after a month-long break to catch up on current events and to explore those ideas that have been occupying our minds as of late. Chris tells the story of his encounter with a stranger who turned out to be one of the childhood friends of the infamous murderer Jeffrey Dahmer. Next, we discuss strange and rare medical conditions including a new one for both of us--Alice in Wonderland Syndrome. And lastly, we discuss a story from the lore of Rome's founding involving the capture of a religious statue from Anatolia and its role in Rome's rise to power. This expands into an exchange about the Great Mother goddess from the Stone Age and the evolution of her worship all the way into modern Catholicism.

  • S6E5 - Gandalf the Red Part 9 - Gods All Change Into Serpents In The End
    Mar 20 2026

In this episode Chris returns to Opinion Scholarship on Carl Jung's Red Book. We discuss why dreams often repeat themes, especially during times of particular stress or anxiety and how Jung believed this is when dreams are most useful and ripe for interpretation. We then move into two of Jung's own visions from the Red Book where we discover repeating themes. These visions circle around Jung's quest for spiritual enlightenment, which runs precisely contrary to his scientific ideals; his struggle between these two motivations and a great revelation to be discovered where this struggle ends.

  • S6E4 - Flashes of Insight
    Mar 18 2026

In this episode Chris describes his fascination with Carl Jung's Red Book and the symbolism-filled stories it contains. He describes Jung's meditative, lucid dreaming-like process whereby he generates them and admits that he has never been able to recreate this process himself. And without Jung's so-called 'active imagination' to aid him, he describes his journey to find his own process. This episode contains 2 epiphanies, which Chris experienced personally and understood to be contents of the Unconscious, which, like Jung's dream images, might be explored. We walk through both epiphanies, step-by-step and the process by which Chris came to understand their meaning.

  • S6E3 - Was McCarthy Right
    Feb 23 2026

In this episode Kyle and Chris discuss a recent interview with the Prime Minister of Greenland and Piers Morgan on the topic of potential U.S. territorial expansion. The interview served as a springboard to critique the biased, negative (and in my opinion unjustified) view the European world seems to hold of the United States and its citizens. While we consistently deflect the tropes "Americans are dumb" and "Americans think they're better than everyone else," etc., it's about time someone holds a mirror to their own ignorance...especially of American culture and government. Next, we switch to the topic of the Cold War and the now infamous example of Jospeh McCarthy and the McCarthy hearings. We read McCarthy's 1950 speech and line-up up his critics against the reality of 2026 America to determine...was he right all along?

  • S6E2 - Great Mother Monism - Monotheism in the Stone Age
    Feb 19 2026

This episode was inspired by an interview with Dr. Margaret Barker on the History Valley Podcast discussing her 2023 book The Great Lady. We begin with Opinion Scholarship on the very earliest known religious images from the Stone Age, which depict a Great Goddess figure and walk through how that image was preserved in later mythology. We then bring Dr. Barker's work to bear on the Biblical figure of Ashera, how her memory was obscured over the development of Judaic monotheism and how the truth of her origin was finally revealed in the Dead Sea Scrolls.

  • S6E1 - Schrodinger on God
    Feb 3 2026

In this episode Chris delivers Opinion Scholarship on the great quantum physicist--Erwin Schrodinger--through the ideas expressed in his 1956 book Mind and Matter. Things get unexpectedly mystical almost immediately as Schodinger discusses the implications of the "observer effect" and the Copenhagen interpretation of Quantum Mechanics. It only gets better from here as Schodinger explores the role of consciousness in physics, the unity of 'mind' and the qualities of mind that are equally qualities of God.
